****-TV has an opening for a full-time Broadcast Engineer! This is an ideal opportunity for an electronics tech looking to give broadcasting a try.
Responsibilities include:
- Support of both office and broadcast-specific IT infrastructure
- Installation and maintenance of video and audio equipment
- Maintenance of microwave radio links and satellite earth station equipment
- Maintenance of high-power UHF transmitters
- Occasional facility maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of circuit theory and the use of electronic instrumentation
- Must be able to solder
- Ability to read schematic diagrams
- An AAS in Electronics or equivalent military training is preferred
- Must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Should be familiar with network routing and IP addressing
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance
- Some overtime will be required, including emergency call-ins and occasional overnight shifts
- Occasional travel may be required
- No experience is required for candidates with formal electronics training (equivalent experience preferable)
