Reporting to the Director of DEIB & Talent Development, the Manager, Leadership & Team Development will play a pivotal role in creating and executing *** 's learning and development (L&D) strategy. The role is responsible for managing comprehensive programs that foster a culture of belonging, high-performing teams, and aligns with *** leadership expectations. This position will supervise a Leadership & Team Development Coordinator and co-manage a budget in partnership with the Director of DEIB & Talent Development. The manager is also responsible for leader and team assessments such as the Hogan assessment, Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), and Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of DEIB & Talent Development to create a comprehensive learning and development strategy with key performance indicators.
- Manage the design, execution, evaluation, and oversight of leadership and team development offerings, in alignment with *** Leadership Expectations and Studio goals.
- In partnership with key stakeholders, conduct skills and "gaps" analysis.
- Conceptualize, design, and deliver customized and targeted development for teams and shows.
- Provide consultative design and/or facilitative support to managers planning team-building experiences and off-sites.
- Develop and maintain metrics to ensure learning objectives are achieved and progress is being made on developing leaders and team members at *** .
- With support from the Learning and Team Development Coordinator, work with internal and external subject matter experts to determine optimal delivery methods, course design, and content in an effort to continually offer new courses to respond to staff requests and changing needs.
- Develop DEIB educational offerings focused on building inclusive leaders at all levels and a culture of belonging across the Studio.
- Develop evergreen resources and toolkits to support continuous learning and practice of critical skills.
- In partnership with People Partners, provide consultation to *** leaders across shows and departments.
- Partner with other People Team members on various talent management initiatives
- Partner with *** Corporate/ *** Learning & OD Teams to share best practices, including Management Fundamentals program, new Creative leadership program, and *** Ignite.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive career experience developing and delivering effective learning and professional development programs.
- Minimum of 1-2 years supervisory and leadership experience in a related role.
- Extensive experience in assessing and improving learning and professional development programs, including curriculum development/instructional design, and the ability to translate professional development needs into high impact, high-quality programs.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be a direct, articulate and thoughtful communicator.
- Must possess a consultative approach; easily develop rapport and trust with multiple individuals and personalities.
- Excellent coaching skills and ability to collaborate with *** *** and People Team
- Strong innovative instructional design and facilitation skills and ability to support and mentor others in these areas.
- Experience facilitating learning via multiple vehicles, such as instructor-led training, group/roundtable facilitation, peer-led learning, self-study, etc.
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships across an organization with diverse groups and individuals through empathy, curiosity, and a growth mindset..
- Graduate-level education, background and/or experience in organizational behavior/development, team/group dynamics, adult education, organizational psychology or other relevant areas are a plus.
- Prior training, educational or consulting experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
