Key Responsibilities:

Replicate Existing Design: Study and replicate the production design from the existing film, paying close attention to detail to ensure continuity in set design, props, and overall visual style.
Collaboration: Work closely with the director, art director, and other key creative personnel to understand the vision and requirements for the film. Ensure that the new production aligns seamlessly with the existing footage.

We are looking for an experienced Production Designer who is local, or willing to work locally, to the Hazleton, PA area. This job is non-union, capturing short-form digital content.

For this project, we would need someone to source and return props, in addition to constructing a table build. We plan to practically shoot a person popping up from a box that is on the table. We would also like to secure the box to the table to avoid any movement when the person jumps out of the box. We plan to shoot a plate of the image in post (so you can see the table doesn't have anyone standing in between it, and then film the pop out practically and over lay the images. NOTE: To accomplish this, we can not have the table or box move AT ALL. The box may be source by production and then provided to you, as this may have to be a custom Amazon box with Amazon logos.

You will also be with us on set to prepare the props in addition to setting up the table, secure it, modify it as needed.

Job Description

SUMMARY

The Associate Production Designer - Project Hire works under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Manager, and/or Production Designer and helps deliver designs (environment, scenic, set dressing, props, costume, etc.) for varying Entertainment projects including, Live shows, Marquee & Shoulder Events, Seasonal Atmosphere, Character Photo Ops, Symphony Activations, and Placemaking efforts.

JOB DUTIES

Works with the Production Designers developing concepts via sketches, storyboards, and photo studies to communicate preliminary design ideas.
Utilize strong graphic design and concept design skills to create visually compelling and cohesive designs across all aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and storytelling goals.
Develop visually captivating presentations, leveraging graphic design expertise to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives, and meeting the high standards expected at the executive level.
Assists the Manager of Costume Design by providing design intent documents, costume renderings, color callouts, and other necessary elements for costume design packets.
Assists in compiling design packages containing detailed design information for internal project teams to review and approve, as well as for vendors to use in bidding and construction processes.
Collaborates with the licensing team when required to ensure the correct usage of IP imagery, following all style guidelines and specific IP notes.
Works with the design team to produce seasonal overlays and designs as needed.
Bring thoughtful, on-brand ideas to creative brainstorms and execution of assignments.
Assists in monitoring onsite art installations during the construction progress, assisting in identifying and resolving any unexpected conditions and/or discrepancies *** ween the construction, drawings, and design intent.
Oversees quality checks for the ongoing creative maintenance of scenic elements, with a focus on graphic design and/or illustration elements.
Collaborates with project team support staff, artists, and vendors in multiple phases of production.
Assist in sourcing and choosing materials for final creative intent.

Maintain an understanding of industry trends and apply that knowledge to design assignments and in field art direction.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the Universal *** Hollywood Intellectual Properties (past, present & Licensed) across multiple *** including film, television, theater, parks, and games.
Attend and participate in all required design team meetings and off-site training/creative sessions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of professional creative work experience preferred.
Experience and knowledge of creative processes and best practices.
Must have the ability to be flexible with changing work initiatives; coordinate multiple projects and multi-task efficiently within a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Solid hand and computer drawing skills (Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Must have a basic understanding of scenic applications used in the construction of the final scenic.
Expected to work effectively and independently under the guidance and supervision of a Production Designer.
Will be expected to design and execute visuals within a set budget.
Full-time work schedule with additional hours as needed during weekends, holidays, and nights as required.

Creative Marketing Motion Design Team is responsible for motion graphic design, branding, custom animation, & visual effects, for DBT's marketing & short form content. We are a team of creative professionals with a passion for visual storytelling.

In this role you will support the Creative Managers & Art Directors on a variety of projects. You will also be responsible for coordinating daily graphics requests from Writer Producers and interfacing with internal motion graphic artists. Conducting quality control, managing graphics deliveries & maintaining a vast motion graphics library are key responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is well organized, proactive, & good at notes, & has a strong passion for motion design & kids marketing.

Responsibilities:

Motion Design Production & Delivery

Assist the Motion Design Managers with daily graphics workflow, projects, and priorities
Book internal graphic artist and edit bay time for the Motion Design Team
Creates written requests for daily graphics projects and tracks progress
Acquire, research, and provide assets from our series and franchises for use in projects
A point person for vendor/designer relations
- Provide spec, style guide, and process support
- Field questions as needed
Responsible for full final quality control approval on package graphics and technical quality control for new design
Supports in the creation of After Effects project templates for graphic versioning
Communicate on a daily basis with our internal Writer/Producers.
Helps get clear direction on their graphic needs to produce/finish their spots
Deliver all final graphics produced to our external staging area for Editors to access.
Helps all Editors pull in the final graphics created per spot for their Edit timeline.
Final graphics packages will need a one sheet overview created to share with Writer/Producers and additional *** Teams (Social, Paid *** , Synergy...etc).
Reach out to all internal and external designers to have final collect builds organized and compressed for internal backups.
Helps us pull back all assets for future needs on refreshes, reissues or modifications for additional spots being created to repurpose assets.

Library Management and Organization

Enforce the naming convention, uniform organization, and intuitive accessibility of assets at our post facility, across internal servers, and hard drives
Track and collect all final projects and renders, confirm they are to spec and upload to our internal archive
Handles delivery of final assets to international and provide any information needed for global use
File management of our archive
- Supporting file cleanup and future optimizations including asset migrations
- Provide detailed metadata tagging
- Routine Deep Archival
Provides internal departments with support for existing graphic assets fielding questions to the Motion Design Team as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year coordinating experience in television production or entertainment marketing/promotions
Familiarity with asset libraries and prepared and willing to provide heavy asset library support
Familiarity and strong interest in motion design and post production with some prior experience
Highly collaborative with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in taking and compiling detailed notes
Displays excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize their workflow in a fast paced environment
Steady demeanor in the face of shifting daily priorities and business climate
Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,400 to $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
