Hi,
I'm looking for an Edit Assistant to work with me on a few film jobs in Portland, Oregon.
My preferred editing software is: Premiere Pro CC

The role would include: Syncing sound, creating selects & putting rough-cuts together.
Other tasks could include: Exporting and uploading different cuts for social media and podcasts, writing copy, tagging & adding thumbnails to video and podcast content.

This is a freelance position with no set days and totally happy for you to work remotely.

I have a edit suite in SE Portland and would like to meet up here every now and then to chat about each project and work through final edits, but you can do the other stuff wherever you like, but this means you’ll need your own computer & software.

My current projects include:
1. Portland Good Business - Short Promo Film
2. Beneficial State Bank - Event Film
4. EasyKicks - Brand Film
3. The New Breed - Feature Documentary

To be very straight up. This is a pretty junior position. I like to do fine cuts, add music and colour grade myself but I need some help with the edit assembly and posting. So please don’t apply if you think this is below your experience level.

Here's the kicker… My work is mainly low-budget social justice content, so I can't pay the standard commercial rates. I can offer $150 per day and promise that the content you work on will be making a difference in the world.

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. You will be expected to be a strong collaborator and execute an efficient video production process to ensure clean, final delivery. Responsibilities:
- Edit original features using Adobe Premiere, for audiences across our daily live distribution onsite and off, YouTube, and major social platforms.

- Stay up-to-date on the workings of company systems including proprietary infrastructures, working with the post support team to source and acquire assets as necessary for projects.
