Looking for an experienced DP to operate the camera for quick back-to-back one-person, one-camera, sit down award show interview shoots in NYC and the surrounding area.

The shoot date is potentially Tuesday, September 10th

Must have your own camera plus kit/lenses. We typically shoot these on our Arri Amira, but if you don't have one, that's no worries at all, just tell us your best alternative and what camera you use most often.

Looking for someone who is "One-Person Crew", capable, meaning someone with a camera + kit and sound gear (boom + wireless lav) who can provide a basic 3-point light kit as well, ideally an Aputure 600x or similar, and we also usually use 2 1x1 panels for lighting.

Our crew will be very small. A Producer will ask the questions, but we want someone who can (in some cases) bring all camera and lighting gear as well as provide audio equipment, and (always) light/shoot/record audio for the interview. We typically use our own gear in the NYC area, but often have a need to rent gear from DPs/Operators. We give ourselves a minimum of 45 minutes inside each actual interview location for set up. Must be comfortable with run-and-gun filmmaking. Must have extensive experience shooting interviews. Please send reel with similar work examples and your rate.

This will be a series of interviews filming talent speaking direct-to-camera using a teleprompter. There will be a bit of a run and gun aspect to setups, but once set up we will be fixed in place on a tripod. We are looking at one to two locations, with a few setups at each location.

Looking for a DP/Cam Op who can bring a premium lens to a documentary about preservation in Franklin, TN.

We are looking to marry a whimsical, premium look with documentary. Think Downton Abbey, Boys State, Daughters (Netflix). We're looking to capture a whimsical timeless aesthetic.

We will have 3-4 shoot days for a pilot episode of a potential series this fall.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

The shoot will be a small two-camera shoot where we will have the talent, DP, 1st Assistant Camera, and Sound Mixer on set. Two camera setup with a 9x16 frame safe. One camera will be wide and one camera will be for close-ups. Each recipe will be shot twice.

Producers will be patched in on Zoom; we will need to see what is on the camera and be able to speak with the talent via Zoom; We will need you to set up any lights that need to be set up; The shoot should be around 6-8 hours including setup, shoot, and breakdown.

We will pay a kit fee for cameras and G&E gear/equipment.

Overview:

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Director of Photography (DoP) to join us for a three-day conference shoot, which includes one prep day. On the prep day, you'll get a chance to review the event layout, plan your equipment setup, and coordinate with our team. Day one will involve filming interviews with attendees and capturing B-roll footage for the reception event and TBD luxury properties. You’ll handle setting up and lighting the interviews and collaborate with a second camera unit for different angles. Day two will be all about capturing the lively atmosphere and key moments of the conference.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration:
*Work closely with our production team to bring the creative vision to life and stick to the schedule.
*Provide input on shot composition, lighting, and other technical aspects as needed.

Prep Day:
*Review the event layout and plan camera and lighting setups.

Interview Filming (Day 1):

B-Roll Footage (Day 1):

*B-roll at any properties or event receptions.

B-Roll Footage (Day 2):
*Gather comprehensive B-roll footage of the conference, including the overall atmosphere, key moments, and various activities.
*Capture diverse and engaging shots that showcase the event's full scope.

Equipment Management:
*Set up and break down all necessary camera and lighting gear.
*Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and suitable for both interviews and broll.

Time Management:
*Complete all filming tasks, including setup and breakdown, within the 10-hour timeframe each day.

*Proven experience as a DoP, especially with interviews and B-roll.
