We're currently seeking New York-based Field Producer candidates to work on our house-hunting series. Home/real estate show experience is a plus!

Start date and length of assignment will vary, but you could be booked on multiple episodes starting as early as March and going through May/June. One episode typically consists of one prep day, two travel days and four shoot days. Occasionally, two episodes are booked back-to-back.

REQUIREMENTS:
*Disposition is so important on this series. We expect our crew, and especially the Field Producers, to be hard-working, easy-going, possess a positive attitude and be able to problem-solve on the fly.
*Teamwork! I can't stress enough how crucial teamwork is on this series. From collaborative pre-production to an all-hands-on-deck mentality on set, we encourage our team members to support one another in all aspects of production.
*Proven experience leading a team. Our field teams consist of six crew members (including two cam ops for cross-coverage).
*Must be willing to work flexible hours that often involve weekend travel.

Job Description

Field Producer, ***

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.
Production responsibilities may include research, conducting interviews, writing and editing, field producing and overseeing editing.
Pitching story ideas and working on assigned stories developed by the editorial planning team.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with, and being knowledgeable of and current on companies in the universe of coverage.
Communicating clearly with reporter and field production crews to determine best coverage plan and live remote locations.
Maintaining all video/digital records, feed necessary and relevant video to bureau/headquarters, communicate to editors and/or desk producers how video should be cut/taken to air.
Communicating with *** News desk editors on available live times, understanding and owning all live hit requests, disseminating hit times to reporter and team on the ground. In the bureau/studio, working with reporter on day-of-air hits. Locating all video needed whether it be in-house archival or acquired through shoots, satellite feeds, company hand-outs.

The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Responsibilities include coming up with ideas for distinctive stories, researching them and making successful pitches to editorial leaders. The successful candidate will then see stories through to broadcast and publication. He/she will work closely with television and digital staff on all stories so having good communication skills is essential. Field Producers work hand in glove with some of the world's most respected correspondents and will be required to operate at the highest standard. During the course of managing a story, the successful candidate will ensure that legal and editorial integrity issues are handled according to company policy. Producers are also required to work up budgets for stories and ensure those budgets are adhered to.

Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. Your Role Accountabilities...

The Field Producer is a key position which requires making editorial decisions, coordinating logistics and overseeing the quality of our news coverage in the field and in the bureau. Handle a prime time late season established series that continues to need production and editorial oversight. This includes working with production company and PMD on schedule, budget questions, casting, editorial screening, deliverables and working with all in house departments including talent relations, marketing, press, ad sales, scheduling and production management.

Handle 'A Level' program reversioning as assigned. Includes developing production schedule, working with Talent Relations to select and coordinate narrator/talent, working with editing department, collaborating with legal department to identify potential legal issues, supervising off-line, on-line, narration record and mix sessions.

What you'll do:

At *** , Booking Producers work within a show unit to pitch ideas as well as book guests for a live show.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

Find and book compelling guests for the show, following booking protocols.
Maintain planning editorial calendar with important upcoming news events and book relevant guests in advance
