IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Summary: The ideal Post Producer here would be responsible for supervising the office personnel and client interaction. There will be a learning curve, but eventually the hope is that the Producer will be able to fully manage and run the office cohesively with the Technical Engineer during the swing shift hours. The ideal Post Producer will be the point-person for most domains, responsible for facilitating solutions when they arise, in addition to keeping tabs on all other areas of operations so he/she can either take lead in the AM producer’s absence, know who/what to ask to solve the issues. Right now, every member of our core team is absolutely committed to each other, their work and the company — and we’re looking for someone who fits that mold and will integrate seamlessly into the team we have in place.
• Cost Analysis - in additional to actualizing costs and updating budgets, create a weekly cost overview summary for each project,
• Project Management - ownership over multiple projects, staying up to date on all projects, understanding the current state of each OPD LA & NY project so that he/she can identify upcoming milestones, identify delays or bottlenecks, potential issues, etc.
• Producer Support - actively support producers/coordinators/assistants in addressing project needs / requests. Being aware of requests that come in and pro-actively approach producer to see how he/she can assist
• Staff Management - understand each team-members roles specific to the project they are working on, be able to instruct / guide team members when the AM producer/director is not available, address any daily issues / concerns that team-members have and help facilitate solutions.
• Media Management - in conjunction with the PA, manage all incoming and outgoing media in DataNet; develop systems and workflows to make the process more efficient and detailed.
• Client Services - take ownership over client services, not only managing daily requirements, but expanding upon our standard offerings; routinely check in on clients to make sure their needs are met and they are satisfied.

Desired Traits
- Ambitious — someone who has a keen interest in post and has a strong desire to learn, improve and add value to the team.
- Personable — strong social skills are a must for the position as he/she will be working with clients and managing both staff and freelance team-members.
- Organized — the Producer will be responsible for a wide range of domains, should be very organized and have excellent time-magagement skills
- Committed — one of the great things about OPD NY is that the entire team is 110% committed to supporting each other and making projects as good as they can be. While we strive to maintain a balance between work and life, sometimes projects will require the Producer to stay late, work on the weekend, or work at home. The Producer should embrace these situations and be committed to spending whatever time is necessary to get the job done.
- Leadership — there will be times when the producer is unable to be in the office or has to focus the majority of his/her time on specific projects. The Producer should have strong leadership skills to manage the office both in conjunction with the AM producer and in the AM producer’s absence.
- Poised — At times, OPD NY can be a little hectic and in general, a high-pressure environment. The Producer should be able to maintain a calm demeanor during such times, staying composed and coming up with solutions, one at a time, instead of panicking or figuring out what went wrong. Team-members will look to the Producer for guidance and leadership, and he/she must be able to handle that pressure and thrive under it.
- Passionate — We love what we do here — and the ideal Producer will also. There’s nothing more satisfying than completing work on a project and knowing that we did the best job possible and the client is happy. The Producer should possess an inherent desire to create the best work possible, and support his/her co-workers during the process.
