Job Description:

Receptionist (RadicalMedia)

The Receptionist role at RadicalMedia is very important because they’re the first impression that guests and employees alike have of the company. Reception is in charge of greeting visitors and clients when they walk in, as well as answering phones and transferring calls to internal employees. They are responsible for opening and closing the office, and making sure that all shipping supplies, food cabinets, and office needs are filled so that the company is comfortable and functioning properly. Receptionists are aware of the various jobs that are occupying Radical’s office space, and are willing to help out with various different tasks when needed. They are a key component to the company, and help create an effective and smooth-flowing work environment.

Role Purpose:

The purpose of the receptionist at Radical Media is to provide administrative and clerical support to staff and ensure a smooth running operation.

Responsibilities:
• Answer phones/ transfer calls
• Manage/book conference rooms
• Answer emails/questions about the company
• Edit and send out the daily schedule
• Stock paper in freight hallway and printers
• Stock shipping room/ order supplies
• Stock tea, cereal, and snacks in the kitchen
• Order office supplies via Staples Advantage
• Order shipping supplies via Uline/ Fedex/ UPS
• Order paper via ImageTech
• Set up/ cater client meetings
• Set up breakfast in the kitchen
• Order Wednesday Pastries
• Order Friday Lunch


Qualifications/Requirements:
Helpful experience to have would be, answering phones/greeting people, being a people-person, knowing how to use Microsoft word, excel and mac programs like mail and iCal. It is also helpful to have had some experience in “Hospitality management” (for meeting and breakfast set ups)
