Lead Quality Analyst - Temp Job Description

The Lead Quality Analyst helps oversee the QA Analyst group and release management of our mobile products. They will ensure that our mobile software contains no errors by analyzing design data, source control, and test plans to validate all aspects of a game. They must pay strong attention to detail during the development cycle and release planning to ensure the testability and shipment of game requirements.

Lead Quality Analyst responsibilities also include actively participating in the creation of quality assurance standards and making recommendations for improvements to existing QA systems. They must define and follow strict QA procedures while monitoring the testing of builds and comply with program specifications to keep accurate documentation. Additionally, they will facilitate and assist with the coordination and creation of new game builds. This role can be fully remote within the USA.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee QA Analysts in the delivery of test design, test execution, test library maintenance, and test closure results through advanced manual and/or automated *** -box test approaches.
Facilitate builds and assist the release manager in the end-to-end release process for mobile game platforms to ensure deployment stability across all environments.
Work closely with external contractors and developers as well as internal Production, Marketing, Engineering, and Design.
Strategically validate and improve the creation of test plans across relevant test methodologies, including but not limited to data validation, regression testing, integration testing, and performance/load testing.
Partner with other developers in the creation of requirements so that they can be eectively tested.
Accountable for adhering to department SLAs within project management (Jira), test-related (TestRail), and version control (Github) tools and systems.
Use appropriate measures and KPIs to proactively validate and report on software quality.
Be a creative thinker who can quickly and thoroughly identify and implement workflow and procedure optimizations.
Be a mentor and role model to help others develop appropriate knowledge and skills through training and constructive feedback.
Act and facilitate the resolution of issues for yourself and the team.
Research, recommend, and adopt tools as needed with the goal of increasing test coverage through automation.
Advocate for the user experience through the delivery of qualitative reporting.
Represent *** Brothers through public-facing quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (or 4 years of equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing.
Leadership and/or management experience coordinating a team of internal and external QA resources.
Advanced understanding of the SDLC, specifically QA and Release processes in agile and waterfall development environments.
Extensive experience with defect/bug tracking (Jira) and test planning (TestRail).
Highly adept at using source control (Git) in a production environment.
Experience with game engines, content and asset editors, and shared technologies.

As a Freelance Broadcast Systems Engineer, you will be entrusted to help maintain a facility built around modern technologies such as:

Video/Audio-Over-IP core infrastructure
DANTE audio mixing and routing
Production automation with robotic studio cameras
Video encoding for contribution and distribution

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Work with internal / external Technical Support teams to ensure timely resolution of technical requests and issues.
Support Newsroom and Operations users by providing technical support forsystems, infrastructure, and applications, including root cause analysis.
Maintain workflows related to all broadcast systems including linear and IP fabric for video infrastructures, virtualized Windows & Linux environments, encode / decode platforms, newsgathering tools, NLE, *** Asset Management systems, distribution / transmission systems and other workflow tools.
Follow Change Management policies and assess all issues, adds, changes to mitigate potential system impact.
Follow best practices and implement new technologies & deliver projects on time & within budget.
Participate in the testing of new technology.
Install, commission, and configure new technology.
Produce work that is consistently professional, reliable and detail oriented.
Support Facility as needed.
Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

A systems engineer dedicated to help our business win by supporting mission critical broadcast and IT systems, projects, and new initiatives.

Experience supporting a major market or network news operation or in a similar role with a *** company, systems integrator, an ISP, or other relevant industry
Experience in supporting large scale systems to support business needs
Experience supporting advanced workflows within a digital *** environment, including virtualized systems, encoding, and decoding, and signal distribution
Experience with Visio and AutoCAD
Knowledgeable with IT routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and other networking standards
Proficient in A/V file transcoding, data archiving processes, and video compression technologies
Hands on experience with support of non-linear edit systems
Knowledge and experience with hardware virtualization
Knowledge of *** workflow tools and production systems
Knowledge of distribution systems including RF, streaming, and satellite
Knowledge of newsgathering and communications systems
Positive work ethic and ability to work well in groups
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse audiences across different departments
Knowledge of standard engineering processes such as change control
Must be keen to learn and develop new skills
Ability to work on own initiative and determine priorities
Excellent organization and communication skills
