As the Wardrobe Stylist Assistant, you will be responsible for styling, managing, and preparing our hosts for air on Daily Blast Live LLC. Daily Blast Live is a three and a half hour LIVE television program airing on TEGNA owned stations, Monday thru Friday. The position requires the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, be a team player focused on creating solutions, all while prioritizing workflow according to our programming needs. This role will interact daily with our hair and makeup staff, producers, hosts, and digital producers. This position reports to the Executive in Charge of Production and the Wardrobe Stylist. Job to start 7/17.
Responsibilities:
• Track wardrobe budget as needed
• Prep, style, and alter Hosts' wardrobe as necessary
• Oversee trade out program, making sure materials are received and returned
• Work independently and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, including an ability to take direction in a productive manner
• Maintain staff look over 3 1/2 hour live show by assisting and contributing as needed on set
• Proactively tackle new issues with critical thinking and a meticulous attention to detail
Additional responsibilities include:
• Help style digital producer team as needed for on air segments
• Work closely with the remote Wardrobe Stylist
• Maintain digital catalogue of various hosts looks
Requirements:
• A minimum of 1-3 years' prior experience in the fashion industry. Prior work in a television environment is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to pitch in as needed in a start-up environment: be responsive to new/additional requests and projects as needed; have willingness to problem-solve for matters outside established expertise
• Possess outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Team player, focused on creative solutions
• Knowledge of celebrity news, pop culture & current events
