Job Summary/Description:
****-TV in Cincinnati, a *** Television station, has an opening for a full-time, high-energy Sports Multi *** Journalist. If you have a passion for sports, we have an opportunity for you! We want a journalist to tell stories about the people in sports, the impact on the community, their schools, and their followers. We like to report the runs, hits, and errors—we love the why, the how, and the passion with the competition. The Sports Multi *** Journalist will have a passion for storytelling and local sports! The perfect individual will be able to write, edit, and shoot engaging, informative, and compelling sports content and develop and execute enterprise stories regularly with accuracy and fairness.
Duties/Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Write, edit, and shoot sports content
• Consistently contribute to sports content on the stations social and digital platforms
• Maintain an unequivocal commitment to accuracy, fairness, and ethics
• Meet daily deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred
• Some experience as a sports multi *** journalist in a television newsroom is preferred
• Exceptional on-camera presence and delivery
• A disciplined individual with ability to work independently is a must
• Knowledge of ENPS and Edius preferred
• Professional knowledge of broadcast news operations a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle records check
