The Creative Director role is to guide, direct, and inspire development of all project content and is responsible to create, develop, articulate the vision, and direct the experiences that define the creative product. The Creative Director role functions as the project's liaison with internal and external partners, drives creative process, and guards the license and intellectual property. This position is responsible for directional leadership of the entire project team across all *** with respect to story, content, visual design, quality and execution of the agreed upon creative vision. This position requires excellent communication abilities, consensus-building skills, and decision-making capabilities to solidify the vision and achieve project goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overseeing a creative experience for a moderate scale project being envisioned and developed.
- Creating and presenting project materials to internal and external audiences to communicate concept, content, and status.
- Functioning as "vision-keeper" for the project team. Communicates, inspires, makes decisions that drive the project forward, and maintains project intent among all team-members. Drives the story for the projects and evolves as necessary to maintain and deliver the intended experience.
- Collaborating with Live Entertainment Directors and their staff, consultant and staff artists, and various other creative collaborators to integrate live entertainment components.
- Partnering with the Producer and Project Manager to inform "value" decisions at each stage of the project and to make decisions which align budget and schedule with a quality creative product.
- Thinking through options clearly and objectively, and to advise leadership on impacts.
- BA/ BS/ MFA in theater, film, design, fine arts, engineering, interactive entertainment, or related field preferred.
- The candidate should have a core ability in one or more artistic disciplines, experience or interactive - design, architecture, story development, illustration, or theatrical/scenic design.
- Minimum five years of related experience in design, production, architectural design, live theater or film, or related field.
