Worked with Executive Producer, Laurie Few, to find stories, develop narrative, and field produce them for this flagship investigative news magazine. Worked closely with on-air host and journalist Carolyn Jarvis to determine story direction and priorities. Wrote long-form and new scripts and reporter packages. ♣ Investigated the use of antidepressants for dementia patients in nursing homes. Obtained hidden camera footage, documenting the abuse of a dementia patient, receiving national news coverage. ♣ Broke one of the first national stories on fracking in northern British Columbia. ♣ Produced interesting lifestyle stories with strong visual appeal while maintaining a core educational component. Compiled a touching story on a parrot sanctuary in Coombs.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, pitched and chased stories, developed storylines, found characters and wrote treatments. Once vetted, put together a shooting schedule and went on location to direct filming. Screened and selected the footage. Wrote scripts and website summaries. ♣ Collaborated with high profile Canadian journalists such as Victor Malarek, Tom Clark, and Sandie Rinaldo. Recognized for flexibility, strong character development and keen visual sense. Very tight deadlines are always met. ♣ Liaised with network management to promote stories and select work for the network web content. ♣ Developed expertise in environmental stories, breaking four major environmental stories
