As Set Decorator I hired a 16 person Swing Gang crew with lead man, gang boss, set dressers, 2 buyers On Set Dresser and Set Dec Coordinator for a 10 episodic scripted TV show. Managed the department, collaborated with the Production Designer, Set Designer and Art Director on permanent and swing sets along with numerous locations. Worked closely with the Graphic Designer creating original art, gak for offices, residential locations, hospital sets, sourced original local artwork for rentals, designed custom frames and created original images using stock photography services. I sourced, purchased and dressed all sets along with my crew on all permanent, swing and location sets. Along with my coordinator, I tracked each episode's budget for all departmental rentals and purchases. Collaborated closely with the EP's, UPM's, Writers, Directors, Electric, Grip, AD, Costumes, and Props Departments making sure all lighting, art and set dressing were cohesive with each scripted episode. Worked closely with my leadman to create labor, prep and wrap schedules for all sets. Prepared Keynote Set Dec Look Books for Art Dept presentations. Location scouted for each episode. Created Set Dressing Notes for my crew with detailed information for each episode. Prepared an extensive wrap book for production which included all final actual budgets, art clearances, set lists, asset list, vendor list, and continuity photos.

I worked on the Pilot, Season 1 and am happy to report Season 2! I hired and managed a 10 person Set Dec Dept including Leadman, Gang Boss, Set Dressers, Buyer and On Set Dresser. Worked closely with Construction and Paint to recreate the permanent set of the RTO Store on stage. I sourced, purchased and decorated permanent, swing sets and numerous locations for a 10 episodic comedic scripted TV show. Collaborated closely with the Show Runner, writers, EP's and Directors to create authentic sets which reflected the true essence of Chicago's South Side. Sourced and supported local artists, African American businesses, craftspeople and vendors for art rentals and set dressing. Attended location scouts, created Art Dept presentations, conducted Director Show-n-tells. Created, maintained and tracked the Set Dec budget. Attended Production Meetings, coordinated with Department Heads on lighting, grip rigging, color themes with costumes, props, and oversaw continuity photos to ensure all set dressing matched with Season 1 and for re-shoots or inserts. Scheduled labor, prep/wrap in out times with Leadman. Wrapped sets, organized set dressing for storage, inventoried all set dressing, prepared wrap book with assets, vendor list, final actual Set Dec Budget.

As the Production Designer I attended the tech scout and collaborated with the director and EP to capture the best camera positions, lighting, and composition for each set. I designed a college dorm room, hospital room, doctor's office, home office and web cam sets for a two day shoot. Upon sourcing, I created a deck for the client to review for all set dressing, props, lighting and decorative arts. Upon approval I rented and purchased all set dressing for each set, hired the Art Dept crew, booked trucking, managed crew, organized all set dressing according to specific sets and prepared scheduling. Our team pre-dressed sets and began shoot day #1. While on set I was responsible for shot composition, I oversaw hair&make up, costumes, and continuity. I printed and framed several original graphics and cleared art for the show. Worked closely with the grip and electric department as there was a lot of rigging of hanging art pieces and practicals. Upon wrap we put the location back to it's original state, organized all of the returns, packed the truck and did a walk through with the location manager.

As the Art Director I worked closely with the producer to create a green screen environment for a Cheez-It commercial. An online contest was generated for fans to send in photos to be used as fan cut outs for the commercial. Once selected I worked with a graphics company to print 3' wide X4' high fan cut outs. The cut outs were rigged and shot in front of a green screen to look as they were seated in a stadium. I sourced and purchased a 6'5" stuffed bear to also be shot in front of a green screen to look as though he were also seated in the stadium. Working with the grip department I rigged the bear in several positions from seated to falling from the sky. I painted furniture chroma key green to be used on the green screen. We worked closely with the post production editor for specific blocking positions and composition of each shot.

Lemonlight hired me as a Production Designer to design and decorate one restaurant location and one stage location for a lifestyle shoot showcasing the branded bacardi tabletop and fashion products. The theme was holiday. I sourced contemporary holiday themed set dressing including greens, garlands, lighting, wrapping paper, bows, ribbon, tropical plants, fake snow, ice cubes, cutting boards, prop food, backdrops and beverage containers. I created unique gift wrapping using gold, silver and kraft paper showcasing the new trends of holiday 2020. I hired art department crew, supervised on set dressing, managed budget and coordinated all returns and submitted final actual budget to client.

I collaborated with the director to create 3 office sets that communicated the Allvue brand. Each set was designed to reflect the new COVID work at home and work at the office environments. I sourced office furniture, lighting, computers, computer accessories, smart phones, iPads, and unique/modern office accessories, and backdrops for each set. I rented and and purchased all set dressing and props. I hired the art department crew, trucking, managed the budget, and scheduled the work flow. While being on set I monitored all the continuity, dressed each set, and oversaw the hair and make up of all the actors. While on set we followed a safe and socially distant set with all crew members being masked. At wrap we carefully sorted all set dressing and props, loaded the truck and I supervised all returns, created a final budget to the client.

Scouted an industrial warehouse location to create a design plan for the two sets. Sourced furniture, set dressing, table top artifacts, lighting, industrial shelving, scientific set dressing, cleared maps, floor coverings, and cleared artwork to enhance the location for a realistic lived/worked in environment. Created a look book for client approvals. Rented and purchased all set dressing. Hired art department crew. Managed the crew. Dressed a scientist working office and an outdoor adventurist workshop (Approx. 7,5000 sq foot warehouse). Worked closely with the EP and Director to maintain continuity while on set. Managed Art Department budget. Oversaw all returns and prepared a wrap book.

Scouted the DuSable Museum with the producer to establish areas in the museum to be dressed. The challenge to overcome was integrating set dressing into a working museum. I created a design plan to incorporate the existing museum pieces while brining in 1968 period pieces. The theme was Martin Luther King 1968 March. I hired an art department crew and managed the crew. A scenic artist was hired to create period correct protest signs which were suspended on two 25' walls. I designed and decorated a 1968 classroom. All hallways and alcoves were decorated with period correct set dressing (1968). The lower level of the museum set was designed and decorated in '68 diner style with 3 60' backdrops to cover existing museum pieces. Set dressing included a diner counter with stools, juke box, diner tables and chairs, candy machines, magazine racks with vintage magazines, neon advertising signs, and table top food set dressing. I designed a duplicate MLK podium with period correct microphones. A "Marshall Fields" 60's department store was designed and decorated with a vintage photo booth, mannequins dressed in 60's attire, a seating area with vintage furniture and dressing rooms. My crew and I wrapped the museum, returned all rentals and restored the museum back to it's original state. I submitted a wrap book with the final budget, PC Summary, and continuity photos.

Prepared a pitch deck which included the color themes, tone, styling of the commercial. Using photos I communicated to the client set dressing such as furniture, decorative arts, greens, lighting, area rugs, artwork, backdrops, tabletop accessories to be used for the 3 sets. I sourced, researched specific set dressing to showcase the Google product being featured. I shopped props houses, furniture stores, showrooms, greenhouses, antique malls for the perfect set dressing. Working closely with the director and producer I scouted the location to ensure it could accommodate a natural light studio, was accurate spacing for 3 sets to be dressed and camera ready. I hired crew, tracked the budget, purchased and rented all set dressing. Using a prep day my crew and I dropped off all set dressing, dressed the sets on location. While on set I was the on set dresser recording all continuity. I coordinated with clients, producers, and director to establish a cohesive composition which made the Google product was branded properly. Upon wrap, I prepared a wrap book with all receipts, final actual budget, shipped all purchased set dressing to client, returned all unused set dressing, cleaned location and did a final walk through with location representative.

As a buyer for the Chicago unit, I was responsible for purchasing all props for the 1968 period Aaron Sorkin film. It was extremely important to keep all the props and set dressing period correct from the early '60's to 1968. I researched, sourced and purchased canvas pup tents, blankets, coolers, thermos, bikes, radios, walkie talkies, rock band equipment, luggage, medical equipment, typewriters, mics, mic stands, press equipment, pens, notebooks, flags, eyewear, sunglasses, purses, briefcases, pins, CPD badges, utility belts, gas masks, stretchers, cots, duffle bags, etc. I dressed the exterior and interior locations. I kept track of all deliveries, took inventory of all rentals and purchases, tracked the budget, and created a photo spreadsheet of all rentals and purchases. At wrap I returned all rentals, packed all rentals for shipping back to LA rental houses.

As the Set Decorator, I attended a tech scout at the downtown location at Charles Schwab. The challenge was how to make floor to ceiling windows appear diffused while keeping in line with my modern design plan. I wanted to create an approachable upscale office vibe in a sterile conference room environment. Starting with the color theme, I used warm tones in browns/oranges/greens to bring relaxation, comfort and confidence to the interviewee. Using a live floor plant potted in a modern ceramic planter with a slender metal stand gave the set a look of elegance. For my furniture design I selected a faux brown leather mid century modern lounge chair, a wood drum accent table, Italian multi colored lava pottery and art books as decorative art pieces. A geometric Angela Adams area rug was used to bring a simple pop of color and texture to the set. The art consisted of a contemporary fiber woven tapestry with a modern abstract image. The set design allowed the interviewee to enter a set which conveyed trust, confidence and the ability to converse openly during the interview.

As head of the Art Department I worked closely with the EP and Director to ensure all props, wardrobe, sets and set dressing matched existing crime scene evidence. All sets were on location. I designed decals for police cars, managed picture cars, created graphics, oversaw SFX, sourced, purchased and dressed all sets.I worked closely with talent approving all wardrobe, hair and make up selects. I was responsible for the entire look of the show by creating realistic environments for both interviews and recreations.

I designed a Moroccan/Turkish themed night club on location. The color theme was rich jewel tones in reds, golds and magentas. I sourced, purchased and decorated the location using set dressing to reflect a cozy lounge with mosaic lanterns, perforated uprights to create unique lighting patterns. Custom drapery was fabricated in bold brocades and sequins to capture the lighting design for a elegant backdrop for the talent. I rented 21 smoke acrylic balls in 3 sizes and installed them at random heights to build intrigue above the bar. The stage was embellished with layers of Persian rugs with a gilded stool for the comics. I added red venetian glass votives with laser cut inserts to make the LED lights flicker with patterns. Additional Turkish lanterns were strategically placed throughout the venue with purple gels to enhance the overall lighting design. My Art Department crew consisted of a leadman plus 5 swing gang and an onset dresser. I worked closely with the director to create the design of the show, created a pitch deck, managed the budget, hired crew, put together a wrap book and was on set all shoot days to maintain continuity throughout the entire show.

As the Art Director I oversaw the entire look of the commercial. Working closely with he agency creative team, Producer and DP I created a timeless classic look for the room set and the wardrobe. I scouted the location, designed a collar palette, sourced set dressing, created a digital Art Department presentation for client approval, shopped and purchased all set dressing for an interior location of a hotel room set. I oversaw all shots providing composition feedback, dressed the sets, advised with wardrobe selection and dressed the food shots.

I worked with the EP and Producer to design a 20'x20' booth with a 10' free standing double urinal wall at the C2E2 show at McCormick Place. The booth needed to match the TV show "Your Pretty Little Face is Going to Hell." The set was fabricated to be two fully dressed office cubicles in hell. All set dressing was custom made and scenic aged as if it had been burnt in a fire. I created 2D renderings, participated in client creative meetings, hired the art department crew, booked trucking, prepared scheduling, managed the entire department, received and inventoried all client deliveries, tracked budget, sourced all set dressing, purchased and rented all set dressing, dressed the booth on site, and scenic aged all set dressing. I participated and oversaw the strike of the booth, the set dressing returns, and prepared a wrap book for the client.

Ace Hardware collaborated with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to treat 3 very special patients to bring joy to these children and their families this holiday season. I used the kid's dream Christmas drawings to design and fabricated 3 themed Christmas trees, custom decorations, DIY ornaments, wrapped gifts, holiday cards, and tree skirts. I decorated an Ace Hardware local store with Christmas attire, dressed store shelves, designed floor plan of store, shopped and purchased holiday set dressing for Ace Hardware. Designed and fabricated custom tree skirts for each themed tree. On set dresser for shoot. Coordinated with Ace Hardware producers, DP, advertising agency to ensure every detail was perfect for the big surprise reveal to the children and their families.

Sourced, rented and purchased set dressing for interior and exterior locations. The sets ranged from an upscale restaurant, a construction site, a CTA train yard, Grant Park, Chicago streets, City Hall, alleys, to outdoor cafés. I was responsible for procuring 20' spinning containers, dumpsters, construction site debris, gas tanks, scrap metal pieces, burnt out cars. Also I did greens and floral arrangements for interiors.

Location scouted natural light studio for the shoot. Put together a mood board of the interior location set for client's review. Sourced and rented modern furniture (sofas, end/coffee tables, table/floor lighting, side chairs, credenza) and original modern artwork from local artists. I hired the labor for the Set Dec department, rented cube truck, picked up all set dressing and dressed the set. I participated in rehearsal with the grip/electric/camera department and actors. As an On Set Dresser as well as Set Decorator I dressed 3 different sets during the shoot for different interviews with actors. My assistant and I wrapped the set, returned all the furniture. I was responsible for all paperwork, keeping the Set Dec budget on track, managing labor, and paying vendors.

As the Set Dec Buyer I was responsible for sourcing, buying and renting set dressing for permanent stage sets and location sets. I procured set dressing for a law firm's library, including law books, vintage file cabinets, high end furniture, lighting, and window treatments. I thrifted and shopped antique malls and stores for 1980's period set dressing for several interior locations. All of my set dressing was labeled, unloaded and carefully stored in the lock up for easy access for dressing of each set. I was responsible for keeping within the Set Dec budget and doing all appropriate paperwork for each set.

Set Decorator for 10 scripted episodes. Decorated 30 locations per episode, and 4 stage sets. Track and manage budget, buyer, open sets, managed set dec department of 8+. Worked seamlessly with all department heads to create environments for actors to shine.

As the Production Designer I was responsible for booking an Art Department team that was sensitive to the dedication of helping those in need. The project was a 4 locations shoot. Our team worked with actors, Lions Club volunteers and real people. My sets involved three themes: Childhood Cancer, Diabetes and Environment and Hunger. My team and I created an outdoor walk-a-thon set for the Diabetes theme and fabricated exterior banners, feather signs, yard signs, hand held flags, t-shirts, baseball caps and a balloon arch for one location set. I designed, decorated, and styled food and food boxes for the Hunger interior location set of a food bank along with fabricating cloth shopping bags, wall graphics, Lions Club graphics, fabricated volunteer aprons and all set dressing for a commercial kitchen. The Environment set was an exterior location which required greensman work. I sourced and purchased several trees, flowering shrubs, perennials, and all set dressing for gardening equipment. My team pre-dug holes for actors, planted trees, shrubs, and perennials, and was responsible for restoring the location back to its original status. I fabricated t-shirts and hats for talent. The Childhood Cancer set was on location at a local hospital. I designed, decorated, shopped the set to create a modern atrium wing of a hospital. I purchased modern containers and 6' pencil cacti, fabricated a Lions Club t-shirt for a stuffed bear, and Lion's Club pins, and medical equipment for the actor/doctors.

Sourced, purchased and created mood boards for all set dressing to create a high end physician's office. Dressed the set with modern furniture (sofas, end/coffee tables, side chairs), procured cleared artwork, potted floor and table plants and decorative art pieces. Participated in rehearsal with grip/electric/camera crews. During the shoot I was responsible for all of the On Set Dressing as furniture and set dressing were moved during the shoot. I hired all Art Dept labor, managed set dec crew, tracked the budget and prepared a wrap book for the client.

Decorate, buy, and source set dressing for 22 interior and exterior location sets. Designed set dressing layering to create individual comedic scripted characters for each set. Managed leadman, swing gang, set dressers and on set dresser. Facilitated Prop Department with all necessary set dressing to create authentic, realistic sets.

Design, source, decorate, purchase, rent set dressing to create a medical office set with office furniture, windows, blinds, medical files, artwork, medical models, laptop, layers of medical books, and medical instruments, to establish an authentic doctor's office in a high end hospital. Collaborated on hair, make up and wardrobe for actor.

Created 3D renderings for conceptual look of Chicago/MAFS season 5. Designed/Sourced/Purchased/Decorated 3 location sets for expert show host interviews. Designed/Sourced/Purchased/Decorated sound stage for Matchmaking Set with 3 expert show hosts. Designed look of 3 weddings shot on location.

Oversaw all visual aspects of each department including lighting, H&M, wardrobe and culinary. Designed and decorated the set, selected all plating for over 100 dishes, collaborated with culinary team on menu, design & plating of each dish.

Assistant Set Decorator and buyer for TV pilot directed and written by David Slack. Sourced, procured samples, purchased furniture, smalls, window treatments, hi tech lighting, flooring, vintage furnishings and dressed locations and stage sets for a police drama shot in Chicago IL.

Beam Suntory was launching a new advertising campaign for a branded alcohol beverage Hornitos. I was responsible for creating, designing, sourcing, decorating and buying set dressing for each set to highlight several cocktail recipes using Hornitos. Worked with Brand Managers, Beam Suntory Art Directors, Graphic designers, and Art Directors to heighten continuity and consistency of the Hornitos alcohol branding using color themes, props, set dressing and locations. I worked with the Director, DP, and gaffer to create compelling vignettes that would draw the audience into the environment with aspirational food styling, plating, stemware, ice cube art, and cocktail accoutrements and garnishes. My crew consisted of set dressers, on set dresser, buyer and set dec coordinator. I managed the Art Department budget, hired crew, managed a team, attended production meetings and came in under budget for the job.

Designed and decorated a semi-circular performance space to create an elegant environment for a Chinese signing completion TV show. Collaborated with director and lighting director to fabricate 6 different stage sets for each performer and judge's booth using lighting, staging, stage decks, decorative risers, pipe & drape and decorative arts.

Designed 3 location sets on a 100+ crew, worked with pyro dept. to create exploding props on an ice cave & 20' bonfire set with exploding props. Decorated & managed live action & still photography sets simultaneously. Oversaw & managed Art Dept: props,set dec&set dressing.

As Boston Production Designer I collaborated with director&DP to establish visual feel of aesthetics needed for interior&exterior sets. Guided Costume Designer&Props in creating unified '80's authentic feel. Responsible for Set Decorating/Buying/Set Dressing.

Create and develop visual strategy for overall look of Chicago's history from 1871-present through sets, locations, props, set dressing & costumes. Oversee HMU, costumes, props, set dressing for historical accuracy. Research historical periods for sets, props and costumes. Dress period sets, props and manage Art Dept team. Plan and monitor budget.

Design physical environment for backdrop of story. Convey overall vision of sets by altering locations & backgrounds to maintain a coherent color palette theme. Enhance locations to comply with concepts, shop for set dressing, food ingredients, food props, decorate sets, food styling, prepping and plating all food for camera ready demonstrations.

Research, resource, and acquire all objects required to dress sets. Negotiate Production approval & monitor daily Set Dressing purchases, rentals, Art Department budget, and Set Dressing Labor Budget. Break down the script, identify sets, practical locations, plan the objects to be acquired for each set, and schedule all deadlines for acquisition.

Five Below nat'l TV commercial. Responsible for sourcing props. organizing manufacture of specialized signage, sets & in store built-ins. Designed store for holidays rearranging fixtures, displays & merchandise. Responded to all requests & queries in constructing and dressing in store sets. Plan & monitor budget, hire & manage art dept, instructed set construction & monitored work.

As the Set Decorator I sourced, shopped, and installed all set dressing to tell the story of each episode. I dressed all table top shots, scouted locations, and was responsible for the art direction of the episode.

Collaborate with Production Designer to procure set dressing for location and studio sets: lighting, furniture, art, decorative arts, floor and window treatments. As Set Decorator I designed, sourced and purchased all furniture, decorative arts, floor and window treatments for 3 studio sets. I was also responsible for the art direction of the shoot setting up shots to be used for the live painting demonstration of all techniques.

I was responsible for decorating the production office for Michael Mann (director) and local residence in Chicago. I sourced all set dressing for all sets for Public Enemies. I catalogued all photos of set dressing for each set, put together photo research, shopped and shot set dressing to be considered.
