The title was "Story Producer" but this wasn't a post position; this is both a WRITER & FIELD position. I'm responsible for story of entire episode from developing a one-page write up through to a treatment, edit script, and then in the bay. I develop the story in preproduction by finding and prepping experts, finding evidence, leads and any way to move the story forward. I travel with the show and work in the field–often in rugged physical environments–ensuring that everything is going according to plan, prepping experts, and coming up with ways to pivot and adjust on the fly when necessary.

This was not a post position - this was a preproduction writing and producing job. I developed S1 episodes for production by researching stories, find experts, prep experts, write (and rewrite!) treatment, shooting script, edit script.

Helped revise a pilot for Travel Channel. Co-rewrote script and then worked closely with editor in the bay.

Before working in the field all over the globe, I was the lead story producer on a small team responsible for cracking a 4 hour global special into the broadest possible topic: the search for extraterrestrials. Came up with an approach that allowed us to tackle the subject from both scientific and supernatural angles. I researched, found stories, found experts, prepped them and traveled in the field with the show from the Atacama desert in Chile to way off the grid in Zimbabwe. In the end the network was so happy they added 4 hours of roundtable discussion.

Write paper cuts of assigned stories, gather visual resources to cover SOT/TRACK, clear with legal, communicate with GFX and multiple departments to bring story to air in short time frame.

Wrote and produced rip-o-matic sizzle for unproduced script to aid getting talent attached.

Wrote original 1 hour romantic comedy for anthology series.

• Supervised all preproduction, production and post on corporate doc short. • Lead bilingual crew on shoot in cross-Peru shoot, from Lima to 13,000 feet up in the Andes. • conducted 18 interviews in English and Spanish (received some help for the Spanish). • Predited 6:00 final piece in Avid, including motion graphics, music, VO, subtitles.

Produced branded graphic open for Ted-Talk like conversation videos for internal marketing campaign.

Wrote and produced a sizzle reel to help get funding for corporate video series. Project was successful.

I worked on staff as a copywriter/producer at busy Motion Picture Ad agency on the major releases of hundreds of feature films.
