o Code Ignite prior to newscasts, direct newscasts, breaking news and weather cut-ins, and sports specials/pre & post game shows. o Give cues to Technical Director; cue talent in studio and field; cue camera operators including our steady cam operator for camera movements on air o Control robotic studio cameras o Come up with new and creative ways to display the news with visual effects and camera movements o Control graphics throughout the show Graphics o Create monitor graphics for use during newscasts using Adobe Elements o Create animated maps for use during newscasts using Google Maps and Avid Other o Run Teleprompter, shade and move robotic studio cameras o Create monthly newsletter for station

o Direct/TD live newscasts using Ignite including several live in-studio or on location reporters, live weather or breaking news cut-ins. o Come up with new and creative ways to display the news and create new visual effects for use in live newscasts o Move robotic cameras, give time cues, run audio faders through Ignite switcher Other Jobs o Run Teleprompter/floor direct o Run jib camera

o Direct/TD live newscasts including several live in-studio and satellite interviews, live weather or breaking news cut-ins, and live to tape shows o Move robotic cameras, give time cues and control virtual audio faders throughout newscast Other Jobs o Edit news video o Create graphics, such as full screens, maps, or over the shoulder inserts using Photoshop o Post stories and video to the station’s website when needed

o Direct/TD live newscasts, live weather or breaking news cut-ins, live on-location half-hour college football preview shows on a delay with no producer in house, and live half-hour weekly in-studio sports show using Ross switcher o Direct and edit local Christmas Parade using mobile control room o Move and shade robotic cameras, give cues, roll video manually from server • Floor directing, audio, and graphics o Manage studio floor and run teleprompter, operate audio switcher, prep and run on air graphics, make still graphics in Photoshop Commercial Production o Edit commercials using AVID, write scripts for commercials and promos Other jobs o Edit and post stories and video on the station website o Shoot and edit high school football and basketball games via tape to tape editing, script highlights for sports anchors, compile extended highlights for our website o Shoot and edit Big Ten sports (Purdue basketball, softball and baseball) for newscasts
