I've worked with Duncan on a variety of nonfiction programs, from history to science to true crime. Duncan is one of the best editors it's ever been my pleasure to work with. He brings a keen sense of timing and aesthetics to every scene and sequence ...MORE...
. But even though he's an artist, he meets every deadline--an excellent combination. One of the real tests of an editor is when (for whatever reason) there seems to be no material to cover something. Many times, Duncan has ingeniously saved the day by taking an outtake, or some unused shots and a bit of stock footage, and turning it into what looks to all the world like a well-thought-out sequence. He always has good ideas, and is also always willing to try to make one of your ideas work. Duncan's a virtuoso of the editing keyboard, and working with him is a creative collaboration that I'd heartily recommend. I look forward to the next time we team up.
