Worked partially in inclement weather in New York on location and kept lighting equipment safely operating outdoors. Special care had to be taken when operating an Arri M18 in several locations with older buildings with older electrical wiring. I had Kinos with 2x4 and 4x4 fixtures prepped and ready with various types of diffusion and duvetyne or black wrap end caps as well as stored in the truck for transport. I often converted a Joker Bug 800 into a Jo-Leko with a Leko adapter whenever it was needed. I was responsible to run power to set and other departments in need of electricity and to learn which outlets were controlled by breakers on the fly not being present for a tech scout.

Helped the Gaffer to establish mood by shaping, coloring, and creating the quality of light for a dramatic comedy feature. Many blackouts had to be put in place and needed to be done creatively to last the duration of the day. The rigging work I created enable the Gaffer to put lights in places that were off camera and achieve the work that was needed from tubes and lamps. The shoot was a fast paced, 6 day work week and safety was maintained throughout.
