Ercoli Crugnale

Crafted a debut short film entirely solo; wrote, shot, directed, produced, edited, acted in, and wore all necessary hats in order to lift the film off the ground. Learned to use limited resources abroad to their fullest extent, as well as re-shape aspects of the story/presentation to accommodate the budget of zero dollars. Compensated for a lack of resources with hard work and creative solutions.

Learned about the equipment necessary to get good sound on a project. Occasionally mixed as well; responsible for maintaining good sonic levels on various takes and adjusting equipment/personnel as necessary. Communicated with other members of the sound team, as well as with other members of the production team, to ensure that audio capture was running smoothly.

Co-wrote and produced film. Negotiated and managed production budget to work within means. Facilitated casting call, ran auditions and ultimately casted talent. Hired crew. Ran point on logistical issues such as location scouting, managing shooting schedules, and organizing and acquiring all necessary props.

Assisted with lighting/sound duties and facilitated teardown of sets. Ensured the safety of production by securing equipment on set. Ran the slate when asked; responsible for marking takes cleanly and efficiently. Worked with the art department during shots.

Responsible for supervising production script/slate. Responsible for production staying on point in regards to script. Handled the shooting schedule and kept track of numerous improvised shots and sequences. Worked directly with the AD/Executive Producer to maintain shot continuity.
