Genna Dixon

As a VFX Production Assistant at a new studio, the role required excellent communication both in studio and externally to clients. It required excellent time management, multitasking and ability to problem solve. My position was on the upcoming film Cats, directed by Tom Hooper.

A 5-episode doc series funded by YouTube and Screen Queensland. I developed a plan and wrote the story outline for each episode and presented the story synopsis and treatment to our clients. I completed storyboards, story outlines and character pre-interviews prior to production. I executed each shoot (10 days) alongside a skeleton crew to capture each episode, then worked closely with our editor to see that each episode was engaging and on message.

With over 10 credits in producing and directing, I worked on documentary films and series as well as commercial projects. During this role, I was required to live and work in Brisbane, Australia and was required to travel to various countries for filming, including Papua New Guinea, USA and Canada.

I executed each shoot (10 days) alongside a skeleton crew to capture each episode, then worked closely with our editor to see that each episode was engaging and on message. Each episode was planned, shot, edited and distributed on a weekly basis, therefore it required multitasking and adhering to strict deadlines.
