Scheduled interviews with people in the Latino community for short film on how they have been affected by COVID. Working with my team, additional responsibilities included transportation of equipment, lighting, filming, and post-production. Resulting short film was successful in showing the urgency of COVID awareness as well as the specific experiences of the interview subjects.

Location scouting, scheduling, co-directing, and editing.

Scheduling video shoots throughout the day of various activities happening at camp. Filming kids and teens at a variety of outdoor events. Working with co-videographer in compiling and editing footage in post to be set to music in montages sent in private emails to parents on a consistent weekly basis, resulting in six separate videos. Parents responded enthusiastically to our showcases of their children and this further enhanced the reputation of Camp Modin.

Setting up and moving equipment. Working with the lighting department and Director to ensure high quality and clear images. Having technical knowledge and communication skills to work with Director and the crew. Rehearsal of blocking and framing to ensure high quality takes. This short film was one of three for which I was a crew member out of several films produced by my Advanced Narrative Field Production class at Northern Illinois University. These shoots took place in Spring of 2020. Due to COVID 19, these films have yet to be edited and finished.

Working with the sound mixer to ensure clear and clean dialogue from the actors. Communicating with the sound mixer to pick up on any technical issues or discrepancies, which are to then be quickly solved. Consistently monitoring audio equipment to make sure that it is all in working order. This short film was one of three for which I was a crew member out of several films produced by my Advanced Narrative Field Production class at Northern Illinois University. Ensuring that production ran smoothly and on schedule. Monitoring each department and reporting any difficulties or questions to the Director. Transportation of equipment, filming the play as part of a camera crew, and transferring the footage to be edited later.

Producing and Directing two PSA commercials promoting student voting at Northern Illinois University. Hired by Laura Vasquez, a professor at NIU, to create the ad. Maintaining daily communication with the professor and talent. Responsibilities included script-writing, casting the talent, finding and securing locations, creating a shooting schedule, directing the PSAs, and editing the PSAs.
