I worked as both a one-woman band and as a member of a team. I filmed verité-style footage, managed sound and lighting equipment, assisted the DP in setting up interviews, logged footage, went on runs, and provided general assistance.

I filmed in a variety of settings in the city of São Paolo, conducted interviews, and assisted the correspondent of the largest Spanish-speaking news station, teleSUR. I assisted with equipment as well as edited sequences.

Julia Muldavin is a trilingual video journalist and producer with extensive field and production experience all over the United States and Latin America. She manages all aspects of video production, from research, interviewing, and camera operation to script-writing, translation, and post-production. She lived in four different Latin American countries, including Brazil, where she spent two years covering the lead-up to the World Cup and the Olympics. She worked on a feature-length documentary about electoral politics in Wyoming and produced content around the Black Lives Matter movement in Oakland, California before moving to Ecuador to work full-time as an editor and producer at teleSUR English. There she produced over 200 videos, ranging from cultural docu-series to breaking news and political analysis pieces. She helped develop their social video strategy, increasing viewership from a few hundred to hundreds of thousands of views per video. Since then, she has worked as a freelance video journalist in the U.S. and Latin America, producing stories for CNN, AJ+, Fusion, Seeker, Vox, AFP, The New York Times, OZY, and The Real News, among others.
