Producer/shooter on land crew covering a fleet of shrimp boats operating in the Gulf of Mexico and their colorful owner. Apart from overseeing land coverage, helped manage logistics and general interface with owner, and oversaw beauty coverage and title sequence for series.

Field producer and shooter in heavily produced show about truckers hauling loads from Fairbanks to the North Slope of Alaska. Responsible for shooting main character in cab and deciding story direction, working with camera teams out in the environment and handling logistical challenges from -50 degree temps to limited light.

Produced one-hour archaeology special featuring large scale recreations and CG in Peru. Locally sourced equipment, trucks, crew and on-screen talent, as well as handling scheduling, finances and logistics of 5 week production. Recreations featuring warfare, human sacrifice and construction of Nasca lines required complete set builds, from scratch propping and wardrobe.

On a reality series merging "Deadliest Catch" with "The Perfect Storm", was deployed to swordfishing boat for 2 months in upper North Atlantic. Crew of 2 covered 24-hour operation with 5 handheld and fixed cameras. Handled logistical/ creative challenges connected to shooting in wet, unsteady and dangerous conditions. In post, story-produced 2 episodes.

Producer and writer of lead story in 30-minute news pilot dedicated to changing international perceptions of the US. Subject: "BRITAIN AND THE WAR ON TERROR" - an extended, on-location analysis of Britain's anti-terror policy and widening differences with its long-time American ally.

Oversaw 2 sets of adventurers trying to survive the remote Alaska wilderness for 3 months. Minimal crew of 3 shuttled between 2 locations in the Wrangel-St. Elias Range. Along with story and visuals, managed extreme production challenges connected to limited daylight, shooting and living outdoors in -20 F temps and weeklong expeditions on foot.

Adventure reality pilot about Australian aviator traveling across Papua New Guinea to recover lost World War II fighter aircraft. Crew of 5 traveled remote rivers, swamps, jungle and mountains, shooting from helicopters, boats and the ground in extreme conditions. Program also profiled supporting characters at a custom aircraft facility in Australia.

Developed, produced, directed and then wrote field segments for primetime, national science news magazine created in collaboration with Wired Magazine. Two segments covered 1) A University of Hawaii infrasound scientist studying nuclear blasts, meteors and volcanic eruptions and 2) the farming and FDA approval of cloned beef.

Produced, directed and wrote two-hour feature on how diamonds funded civil wars in Angola, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Shot in Western Africa, London, New York and Washington DC; turned project around within 21 weeks. Film featured first-hand perspectives from enslaved miners, rebel insurgents, child soldiers, gun runners, war victims and DeBeers.

HD reality series about super-sized technology. Directed host auditions for network and several segments.

Responsible for 2-month, verité-style shoot based in Kodiak, Alaska for 10-hour series on Coast Guard search and rescue missions. Crew flew along on helicopter and fixed wing sorties over Alaska, the Aleutians and the Bering Sea. In post, generated paper cuts, wrote VO and supervised edits of Kodiak material.

Staff producer on provocative, humorous, 14-time Emmy-nominated series. Booked interviews with characters from Noam Chomsky to Republican Congressmen on public policy, the environment, education, and religion. Part reality/documentary, part investigative reporting, part commentary, each episode used data, interviews and humor to question ‘sacred truths’.

Sole producer on 6 hours of verite-style programming on the journeys of 20+ patients and their doctors; stories ranged widely from organ transplants to leukemia to trauma. Developed, directed and coordinated stories over 85+ shoot days at LA County Hospital, Children’s Hospital LA and USC University Hospitals.

Produced 2 episodes in 10-part archaeology series about turning points in world history; series featured extensive recreation and CGI elements. Handled story development, set up 7 archaeology and recreation shoots in 7 months and scripted over 80 feature-style recreation scenes, requiring 25+ man crews. Subjects: Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, and Jamestown.

Associate producer on 8 episodes of all-color, 17-part series on personal experiences of World War II. Located rare, original color footage and period materials such as letters, reports, art, photos, and radio broadcasts, working closely with producers on scripts and editing. In post handled fixes, motion control, on-line, delivery and clearance.

Responsible for visual, scientific and narrative content of documentary on 1999 7.4 Izmit, Turkey earthquake. Located survivors, seismologists, engineers, and rescue personnel; arranged on camera interviews. On location handled logistics and scheduling, contracts, finances and still photography. Assisted writers with script and graphics/animation, handled file footage research, oversaw digitizing and logging.

Developed stories/ segments for weekly wildlife documentary series with magazine/reality format. Set up and managed long domestic and international shoots throughout U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Oversaw logistics and trouble-shooting in fast-paced environment, with daily supervision of crews and field directors, wildlife professionals and on-camera personalities.
