I was a camera production assistant and the driver of the camera truck. The biggest responsibilities that I had was to make sure at all times that all of our equipment was safe on and off set. The equipment in the truck was over 400,000 dollars. Once I got to set I made sure that everything (all of the case and equipment that we might be need it through out the day) was pre-set and ready to be roll out of the camera truck by the time the 1st assistant camera and the DP arrive to set. Once we started shooting I made sure to assist the 1st camera assistant and the DP with making sure they had everything that they need it.
