Archival / Research - Associate Producer position.
Please don't apply without prior experience procuring and licensing Archival / Stock footage stills and photos.
Experience with News type programs is a plus.
Duties include:
- Sourcing archival and stock footage requested by producers.
- Be the point person discussing show needs with all vendors across multiple stories.
- Come up with creative solutions for problematic archival assets needed.
- Creating detailed logs of vendors, pricing, usage and restrictions.
- Requesting screeners and master footage from vendors.
- Tracing back public domain documentation.
- Logging fair use elements and shot descriptions.
- Maintaining story and episode archival grids with cost estimates for each cut.
- Tracking final licenses and costs per episode.
