Developing a Vision:

Research:

Conceptual Designs:

Collaborating with Other Departments:

Work with the costume designer to ensure that costumes complement the sets and overall production design.

On-Set Presence:

Wrap-Up:

The job only requires daily on-set implementation of props/dressing assignment and maintenance. Production will provide a detailed property bible breaking down each day's scenes, props, and set dressing. The props master is considered the department key.

Applicants for the position should have prior experience working in the art department (preferably as a set dresser) on a feature film. Contracted duties for the position will encompass all industry standards for the position, including maintaining orderly custody of set dressing, organizing dressing for the day's shoot, placement on sets as needed, any last-minute adjustments during filming, returning dressing to their storage containers at end of day, etc.

We are filming in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the greater San Miguel County area, for two and a half weeks in October. Locations are mixed interior and exterior.
