Job Description

The *** U Local Division consists of 43 local *** and TLMD stations and 6 Regional Sports Networks. Reporting to the VP of Ad Sales Finance, this position will play a critical role supporting $2B of advertising sales. The Director will partner with *** U Local Sales & Finance Leadership, Operations, Sales Business Development & Strategy, Controllership and *** U Network Ad Sales Finance. In addition to leading financial planning and analysis for the division, this role provides unique financial oversight of *** U's leading ad tech OTT/CTV solution, *** Spot On. Gain in-depth knowledge of the *** U Local commercial operations as well as lead all aspects of management reporting and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of the financial planning cycles for *** U Local Ad Sales including pacing, quarterly estimates, budget, and long-range plan with close partnership with the Local and Network finance teams.
• Responsible for revenue recognition monthly close and quarter end management reporting.
• Oversee entertainment / sports bid model analysis and post-mortem network requests.
• Manage executive sales reporting for all tentpole events (Olympics, World Cup, SNF, etc) and political cycles.
• Develop subject matter expertise for all sales reporting tools including Wide Orbit, Operative/Hubble and liaise with Operations to ensure reporting compliance.
• Oversee general ledger sales reporting and coding in accordance with GAP Accounting / business initiative.
• Lead, develop and mentor two direct reports.
• Foster collaboration and streamline processes to aggregate sales data across the country to support insights for financial cycles.
• Lead and execute on special projects and ongoing ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in accounting and/or Finance related fields

Salary: $105,000 - $150,000

*** News Group is seeking a high-performing individual to play a leadership role in growing events sponsorship revenue and executing our go-to-market sales strategy - specifically for the *** Events portfolio. We're looking for a dynamicteam player who will thrive in a fast-paced, hardworking, entrepreneurial atmosphere as part of this high-priority business line.

As a Director of Events' Sales & Partnerships, you will be part of the team executing the *** Events sales strategy for the global leader in business news and money-themed content. You will help conceive lucrative and editorially compelling event concepts, identify, and pitch potential sponsors and ultimately deliver new revenue to *** Events, Television and Digital.

Reporting to the *** President, you will work both autonomously and in partnership with the *** events sales team to close new clients and business. Your main focus will be to drive direct event fee commitments from sponsors for our 40+ annual in-person and virtual events. You will also work with the broader *** Events Production and Editorial teams to deliver on, and exceed client expectations. The Director will also work with *** News Group as we continue to expand our eventsportfolio, collaborating with News Group editorial leadership to conceive, build, sell and ultimately execute events for the *** News Group brands.

Job Description

This role will provide Human Resources support to Universal Studio Group. This role is primarily responsible for Human Resource and Employee Relations issues for television productions based in the Eastern US and Canada. This position reports to the VP, Human Resources, Universal Studio Group.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Direct and manage high volume of employee relations investigations regarding complaints, harassment, integrity violations, retaliation, and performance concerns. Provide recommendations and collaborate with Labor Relations and Employment Law on solutions, investigatory outcomes and/or formal disciplinary action.
• Provide daily HR partnership to production-based employees including heavy employee relations, performance management, ad hoc reporting and compliance with HR policies and procedures for represented and non-represented staff.
• Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as approachable and fair, and balancing business needs with employee needs.
• Conduct and manage performance, corrective action, and integrity issues in collaboration with Legal and Labor Relations.
• Mentor junior members of the HR team on investigations and performance management.
• Provide coaching to employees & managers, offer feedback and ad *** on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner.
• Strong knowledge of state (New York) and Federal employment practices, policies, legal & EEOC guidelines, as well as compensation, wage and hour, benefits administration, etc.
• Partner with management to help develop and facilitate training strategies to meet employee needs, including supervisory training, and skill development.
• Travel to production locations to attend on site legal compliance trainings in US and Canada.
• Manage employee relations activities such as special events, employee advocacy, monitoring and reporting for Production departments, and co *** ict resolution initiatives.
• Continually monitor and maintain company policies and procedures, and remain current on relevant legal issues relating to employment.
• Participate in broader HR projects in support of the entire Universal Studio Group organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 10+ years relevant HR experience, preferably in HR Management or as an employee relations specialist.
• Ability to travel within the US and internationally
