SUMMARY 
In this role, you will support the Video team in the development of cohesive, powerful, and relevant brand experiences. You will ensure the story is told in a way that drives the desired viewer experience. You will partner with a team of video editors in the daily production of a variety of content through highly creative aesthetics and standards.

This is a position of learning with the expectation of growth within the company. You will work with and assist some of the most talented people at this craft. The work environment is incredibly collaborative and welcoming of new voices. Our goal is that the experience will elevate your talents to their standard and you transition to becoming an editor.

This is a full-time, in-house position (not freelance) with healthcare, 401k plans and most importantly “office snacks”. You must be able to work from our Naperville studio location (Located near I-88 & Naper Blvd - 5-minute drive from Naperville Metra). You will have a private editing suite. Hang anything you want on the wall, it's your space. Want a bean bag...maybe. Let's talk about it first. What about a little couch?

DUTIES
• Partner with an outstanding team of video editors throughout the editing process using industry-standard software and technology.
• Bring ideas and vision to life across a wide scope of unique video projects that reflect and express our brand strategy. You're a peacock, we want to see you fly.
• Support Sr Editorial team, Post Producers, Creative team, and key brand partners in the creation of powerhouse creative. Put simply - Stop. Collaborate and listen. Wait...
• Deliver end to end on a diverse range of projects, including network caliber series, promos, and social media edits.
• Adhere to brand standards, ensuring cohesion and consistency.
• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of each video's creation.
• Improve video and sound quality using various video software.
• Edit videos to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project
• Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to each client's specifications
• Articulate creative intent to others and proactively coordinate with partners to bring ideas to life
• Participate in a collaborative working environment across the company

Minimum requirements
• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in video editing
• A reel of your editing work
• The name of your first pet and mother's maiden name

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Experience with editing software and equipment (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Encoder) and experience with After Effects
• Experience with sound design and general audio best practices
• Proven ability to comfortably work in a multi-platform digital production environment
• Experience in design, motion graphics, and audio editing
• Experience with modern encoding and delivery practices
• Passion for leading the way in creative content production, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and editorial style

• Backlogging and organizing footage from previous projects
• Creating projects for both Premiere and AVID editors
• Prepping materials for edit, including syncing and grouping / multi-camming
• Support editors with music, GFX, and third-party footage
• QC’ing final cuts
