Looking for a Korean-fluent AE for a documentary project ramping up over the next few months that will likely last 3-6 months.

Must be Avid proficient, working in-office in Los Angeles, 10am-7:30pm.

Berty Boy Productions, a multi-faceted production house located in Los Angeles, CA, is searching for an Assistant Editor to join the team to support our producers and editors in creating content for promos, sizzles, and YouTube series. The ideal candidate will have experience in media management, creating projects and proxies, organizing footage, QC, and basic editing skills – like stringing out, multi-camming, and syncing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ingesting / uploading media to the server
• Organizing new footage coming in
• Backlogging and organizing footage from previous projects
• Creating projects for both Premiere and AVID editors
• Prepping materials for edit, including syncing and grouping / multi-camming
• Support editors with music, GFX, and third-party footage
• QC’ing final cuts
• Prepping sequences for export
• Creating EDL’s and / or managing deliverables
• Working closely with editors and post producers to address requests and troubleshoot.

This person would ideally have the following:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Editor
• Basic knowledge of AVID and Premiere editing software
• Basic knowledge of Media Encoder and After Effects
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Google Drive / G-Suite
• Must be able to juggle various projects at the same time
• Understanding of the podcasting, social media, and YouTube worlds.
