The Edit assistant will follow the workflow set out in the Post Production guidelines below. The edit assistant will be responsible for wrangling of all camera cards, saving and backing up the footage. They will be required to be in the office to manage all the media coming and going from location, saving using correct naming conventions and logging this footage in the database. They may be required to have flexible work hours on occasions to ingest media for a tight turn around. They will also be required to do cast cutdowns and scene cuts as instructed by the Director or Senior Field Producer The edit assistant will also communicate regularly with the Sydney, Australia Post Production team as they will work closely on downloading all the footage sent from the US office. There is a tight turnaround between the shoot and the edit happening in Australia ,the edit assistant needs to make sure that efficiency and attention to detail at all times.

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.
These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

Byrdie is looking for a highly-organized, beauty-obsessed editor to assign, edit, and write beauty content for the site. The perfect candidate is equally as passionate about thoughtful celebrity interviews and personal essays as they are about producing highly accurate, competitive evergreen content. In this role, you'll manage a pool of freelance writers (everything from assignments to invoices), edit 2-3 stories per day, update existing Byrdie articles for freshness and accuracy, contribute to brand tentpoles and packages (like our annual beauty awards), and write content as needed.
