Must be used to fast paced long-form fast turnarounds. Will need to coordinate with auxiliary editors and assistant editors working on for a multi-cam broadcast variety show with musical numbers. Project stakeholders and editor will be doing supervised sessions with clients, and AE will have to support in-person. Project is being edited in offline in AVID, and will be at post editorial facility, with possibility of remote work from home later into production.
Position is assistant editor on post team and will be working directly with primary and secondary editors who will be delivering specific episode segments. Assistant editor will work both independently coordinating with post producer, primary editor, secondary editors, and additional overflow assistant editors as needed.
Candidates must be able to support footage prep, multi-cam grouping, proper sync, and online conform prep to color and mix.
Project will be ToD timecode for majority of production, but certain segments of the production are music videos and will require sync/grouping according to set playback timecode, in music video post production fashion. Previous experience required in music video post production sync.
Must be comfortable with After Effects for GFX template exports/insertions. Must have ability to work with photoshop as well for superimposed text exports. Footage sources will be UHD, working in HD offline, and finishing in UHD.
Grouping / syncing experience should be a prerequisite to troubleshoot any potential sync issues in existing groups. Must have prior experience reading logs, searching for soundbites, organizing, stringouts, etc. etc. Experience with Adobe Media Encoder also required. Must be a good communicator regarding tasks and accurate at turnaround estimates.
