REPORTS TO:
Post Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Day to day duties would include but not limited to the backing up of footage and projects,
transcoding, synching, grouping, exporting and general support for the
editors/post team.
● Work with Editors, Producers and APs to ensure that all elements are available to them and that
projects are prepped and organized appropriately.
● Final finishing prep on projects for mix, online, color and final delivery.
● Blurring, bleeping, subtitling, importing graphics/elements, and performing quality control checks on cuts.
● Troubleshooting Avid issues as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS
● Must be proficient in AVID Media Composer and fully comfortable in a MAC OS, Avid NEXIS
environment.
● Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
● Familiar with tapeless workflows (Varicam, FS7, F5, etc.).
● Experience prepping shows for final finish.
● Must be comfortable in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. You will be expected to be a strong collaborator and execute an efficient video production process to ensure clean, final delivery. Responsibilities:

We are seeking an editor who is familiar with a diverse array of video editing techniques. For example - video used in a fast-paced nightly sportscast will be cut differently than a serious 3-camera anchor interview. Our editing team uses Edius to cut video, but experience on similar non-linear editing platforms like Avid or Final Cut is also acceptable.
