Responsibilities

o Main responsibility is to assist Post Production team in prepping material for edit and assist editorial team. Will also work closely with Editors to make editing efficient and organized for entire Editorial team.

o Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Loading / offloading media, importing media and GFX

o Syncing, Grouping

o Make cutdowns and scene selects

o Handle Music selects and organization within the project

o Maintain Project organization (ie: space allocation, project cleanup)

o Prepping episodes for online

o Prepping and delivering Promo selects to network

o Prepping RC, FC, Pic Lock exports for network and Online vendors

o Organizing deliverables and exports for Transcribers as needed

o Advanced AE duties may include:

o Cutting scene or web content

o Stringing out opens/teases

o Rescoring music

**** seeks a dynamic Web Producer/Video Editor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts and online content. This position will also work closely with the Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and news staff on the newscast and web/social *** content. In this position, you will edit video, work within the newscasts as a writer and writer/associate producer, and also develop content for all our digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Edit video on a deadline, working with the Producer towards a creative and informative newscast with emphasis on the viewers' interests
• Produce content for ****.com, and promote our coverage on our social *** feeds, funneling the audience to our site and our broadcast
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
• Communicate with anchors, field crews, and control room staff

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or a related field is desired
• 1-2 years of experience producing newscasts or news content online
• Must keep up with local, state, national and international events
• Organized; able to work with many personality types
• This position requires someone who can exercise discretion, best judgment, and has solid journalistic/ethical skills
