The Associate Producer supports the production of Milk Street Television, a three-time Emmy Award–winning cooking show on public television. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented and extremely organized, with a background in production and/or post production coordination at a professional media organization.
This is a full-time position based out of our Boston, MA office. Candidates must be able to work in the office at least two days a week, with additional days during filming.

The Associate Producer will:
Coordinate shoot logistics (booking studio time; hiring external crew; renting equipment; overseeing parking, wardrobe, lodging, catering, etc.)
Prepare schedules, call sheets and other production documents
Assist producers, talent and crew on set
Coordinate editorial assets (toolkit, photography, episode descriptions, webpages, etc.)
Coordinate and book domestic and international travel
Help oversee the budget, tracking expenses and invoices
Participate in the development of new segments and develop scriptwriting skills
Assist with marketing initiatives, station relations and cross-departmental projects (social media, paid video, brand partnerships, etc.)
The Associate Producer will also play a large role in coordinating post-production for the series:
Oversee the post-production schedule for internal and external editors to ensure episodes are delivered on time
Communicate with color, audio and broadcast partners
Review rough cuts, color/audio passes and final cuts to provide editorial and technical notes
Log footage from field shoots and assign edits to travel editors
Prep projects and media for distribution to contractors and networks
May be tasked with small editing projects (promos, cut downs, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience, preferably in television and/or video production
Solid grasp of production process, positions and responsibilities
Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
Ability to meet many deadlines and keep up with fast-paced production schedules
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent writing and communication skills
Able to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
Prior experience with media management, video editing, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and DaVinci is a plus
Experience in the culinary arts, food media and/or public television is also a plus
