Our show is looking for a seasoned Associate Producer for an award winning New York based daily daytime talk show. This position is for someone with the following credentials: -At least 2-3 Associate Producer credits -At least 4 years of production experience (including AP, coordinator, assistant and/or intern work) -Experience in live and/or studio programming. -Talk show experience a huge plus.

-Comfortable working long hours including weekends when needed.

The position will support a producer and work alongside a Creative PA to complete all of the following tasks-pre-interviewing guests, writing scripts, producing tape, clearing elements, booking in-studio guests, and having a comprehensive knowledge of live studio production. We are looking for someone who will complement our team and has a positive, can-do attitude as well.

There is a strong possibility this position will require the right candidate to be in studio for several days a month.

Salary is $1.5k weekly, with paid dark weeks and an option to buy into company’s health insurance plan. Position starts in mid August 2021, wraps early June 2022. Please only apply if you have the following experience- this is not an entry-level position.

Job Description

The Associate Producer is responsible for the successful coordination and execution of a show. The role of the AP is to work with the Producer in preparing the editorial content for the broadcast, assist with the management of different aspects of the production in coordination with internal support areas.

Job Duties:

Assist in all aspects of production and ensure that all information is sound and accurate while finding innovative ways to execute productions.
Required to be in the control room and have complete knowledge of the control room environment.
Responsible for producing breves and promos needed for broadcast and digital platforms.
Assist in the creation of headlines as well as any other content that is needed.

Job Description

The Associate Producer is responsible for the successful creation, coordination and execution of a show or segment for TV or Digital Platforms. The role of the AP is to prepare the editorial content for the broadcast both for linear and non-linear platforms, also to assist with the management of different aspects of the production and coordinate with internal support areas. Prepare original editorial content for the linear show and digital extensions both locally and on the field, including but not limited soccer tactical analysis, selecting, translating, and transcribing sound bites and footage for a piece. Prepare research for stories or segments as needed.
Write and supervise scripts, and the editing of a story.
Meet with show director and technical crew to go over show details. Meet with show staff to verify production assignments. Prepare and fact-check all show graphics and segments.
Field Produce stories and remote productions; assist with live shots as needed.
Attain a complete knowledge of all show elements; how they work and how they are applied within the various shows.
Provide story ideas and offer suggestions to improve broadcasts and non-linear coverage on a regular basis. Research stories and produce sweeps series as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

A solid knowledge of sports content with an emphasis on Mexican, English Premier League and International soccer, US domestic sports and boxing for US Hispanic market.
General computer skills: INEWS, MS Office (Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel), Avid Interplay, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
Solid editing, writing and production skills.
Knowledge of soccer tactical analysis tool VIZRT Libero Vision, Piero and or similar.
