We are looking for an Associate Producer to join the growing team at Ownage Pranks – a hilarious and successful YouTube channel with over 5million subscribers and billions of views. We are expanding our team as our formats grow to include live action and multi-camera shoots.

Please take a look at our youtube channel to see some of the recent animated content, we're finally expanding outside of animations to live camera shoots with live studio guests, performing improv-based prank calls live on camera. It's an incredibly fun and engaging format, and rare opportunity in the DC area to work with local creatives and our growing brand.

This is a hybrid role of creative and logistics. You’ll be involved in all aspects including pre-production, shooting, post-production and more.

This position must be held by someone in the DMV area. Open to people with lower experience, if you're extremely excited about working with our team and think you can be a valuable asset on our productions.

Start date is flexible, open to hiring fitting talent sooner or after the listed date, but as things ramp up we'll certainly need more hands on assistance.

We're heavily considering setting up our studio in DC permanently, if we're able to assemble the right kind of talent that's ready to grind and release a ton of comedic content for the world to enjoy :)

Job Description

The Associate Producer is responsible for the successful coordination and execution of a show. The role of the AP is to work with the Producer in preparing the editorial content for the broadcast, assist with the management of different aspects of the production in coordination with internal support areas.

Job Duties:

Assist in all aspects of production and ensure that all information is sound and accurate while finding innovative ways to execute productions.
Required to be in the control room and have complete knowledge of the control room environment.

Job Description

Meet with show director and technical crew to go over show details. Meet with show staff to verify production assignments. Prepare and fact-check all show graphics and segments.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

A solid knowledge of sports content with an emphasis on Mexican, English Premier League and International soccer, US domestic sports and boxing for US Hispanic market.
General computer skills: INEWS, MS Office (Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel), Avid Interplay, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
Solid editing, writing and production skills.

This Associate Producer will be responsible for creating content to support original videos. The role will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, assist with research, casting/booking efforts, element pulling and working closely with video editors, producers, talent and outside vendors. The AP will contribute to production and promotional needs, and work with other podcast properties under Dateline to help drive expansion.
