Job DescriptionWe are expanding and growing *** News Now big time and fast. We need a creative, passionate team of journalists to make the magic happen morning, noon, and night.

The bulk of the job:- Work with senior producers and EP's to build daily rundowns and oversee changes when breaking news hits
- Work with show directors to block and time programming
- Approve and copy edit scripts, as needed
- Pitch ideas
- Work with producers to come up with the strongest elements for each segment
- Craft headlines and teases that are engaging no matter the time constraint - for both breaking news and scheduled programming
- Write fresh copy as needed
- Communicate time and roll cues with guests and correspondents
- Work with news desk and booking to request reporters and guests for show.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- You've been working in broadcast, live streaming or cable for 5+ years
- You've worked on live daily shows for 3+ years
- You have at least 1+ years' experience as a line producer
- Demonstrated and proven excellent editorial judgement and understanding of journalistic standards
- You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant working experience
- You are willing to work in New York, New York
Desired Qualifications:- You're a journalist first with excellent control room skills
- You have an eye for accuracy and creativity when it comes to video and graphics
- When major breaking news happens, you're ready and willing to jump in -- even on weekends or late nights
- You are able to work calmly under intense deadlines
Additional Requirements:- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
