Here at Groove, we travel around the country hosting extremely professional dance events while maintaining our vision: to create a positive, fun and memorable experience for all dancers, instructors and families alike. Our crew is what makes our events so successful. Here at Groove we have several job opportunities within our crew, one of them being our audio technician position.
If you have a knack for producing audio and lighting during a live production, then this is the job for you! Our technician will work closely with the scorekeeper in maintaining an efficient order. The Technician's main job role is to proficiently organize audio tracks for the upcoming performances. In addition, the technician is responsible for ensuring that each track is functioning properly prior to the dancers taking the stage. Between dances you will play music to keep the crowd entertained as provided on the company iPod. Technicians are also responsible for lighting. As dances enter, bring the lights up. As dances exit bring the lights down. We will also set a prerecorded chase for award ceremonies, as well as, in-between dances. Each crew member at Groove is also responsible for contributing to social media, such as taking pictures of special moments, dancers on stage, etc. from their unique perspective during the event.
Requirements:
Must be available to work and travel Thursday evenings through Monday mornings during the months of February through May.
Previous experience with audio and/or lighting equipment.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able and willing to commute to the Groove office for mandatory training(s) as needed.
Must follow requirements implemented for COVID-19 as set forth by Groove/location dependent.
