We are producing a soap opera on a micro-budget and are looking for a gaffer with a small kit to come onboard for about 15 days of shooting between October 2nd and October 20th.

The rate we can afford is $3500 for labor and the kit. We understand this is very discounted rate and we aren't going to sugarcoat but it is what we have to work with. Our entire team is sacrificing for this with the knowledge that this should lead to additional commissions with real budgets.

I'm looking for a Gaffer for a half-day shoot next week in LA. It will be a small crew and fast shoot on one location. Someone with an Apature light kit is preferred but not required.

As the Key Grip, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of all grip operations on set, working closely with the director of photography and the gaffer to fulfill the visual objectives of the film. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the safety and efficiency on set.

Key Responsibilities:
Rigging: Expertly rig and mount lighting equipment, dolly tracks, and other necessary apparatus.
Lighting: Collaborate with the gaffer and DOP to execute the lighting plan proficiently.
Safety: Uphold the highest standards of safety on set, ensuring all equipment is securely installed and safely operated.

We have a trade show on January 29th and are looking for a gaffer/grip to assist with lighting a small wine/spirits bottle shot setup we are building on the trade show floor. The applicant will be responsible for working directly with the DP to light the scene accordingly to his direction.

They would help set up lighting on first show day, and then switch to camera in more of a first AC role simply to assist DP. All shots will be static, so there will not be much focus pulling, if any. We are looking for someone who has a small grip/lighting package available for rental, so please provide info on rates for that if interested.

I'm looking for a gaffer that lives in the DMV area for a shoot this upcoming Tuesday. This will be a fast moving shoot with multiple locations. We're looking for someone who can set up a small amount of lighting quickly and work with the DP to make each shot look as good as possible (under the time constraints). My company has an upcoming production on October 16 and 17, 2023. As of now, it will be taking place in Vista, CA at The Film Hub. We’ll be working 2 x 10-hr days.

We are searching for a GRIP to join the team. we've got a great gaffer who will be able to work with you.

I'm looking for a grip for a 1-day (10h) shoot in an office space in Grand Rapids. We will be shooting several direct to camera interviews using my LED lighting package. Crew is director/dp, gaffer, and grip. Client is Protect Life Michigan, a pro-life non-profit that works with college students.

o Will be assisting hand-held camera operators throughout the game

o Moderate to high cable coil management proficiency, MUST be able to Over/Under consistently in a high tempo environment behind a handheld camera throughout the show

o Assisting in tear down of compound post game

o May be involved in setup

Guaranteed minimum 10 hrs pay, OT if over 10

Will be working with the skycam crew assisting with set up, reel watching, and strike.

During the game, will watch the reels that suspend the skycam camera in the air. Will notify the engineer on site if the reel becomes loose and the engineer will come over and fix it.

After the game, will help with tear down of equipment and loading back into the truck.

Requirements: Not afraid of heights and able to lift up to 40 lbs.

CNN will be in production the week of October 9th for a one-hour documentary style production. We are looking for a grip to assist the staff DP and Camera Ops with multi-camera interview setups. Monday, Oct 9th, and Tues. Oct 10th, there will be 2 separate multicamera setups. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Grip will need to be comfortable driving a 1-ton rental grip van to each location if we decide to rent the van otherwise, they will need transportation between each location. Grip will assist DP with rigging lighting and managing the gear in the grip truck. They will need to be willing to load in/out of each location. Wednesday may be required, but that decision hasn't been made yet.

Rate is based on 10-12 hour workdays and is based on experience applicable to the type of work.

This is an entry level position and no previous work experience is needed. You will help with either:


Light panel; Hold light panel to evenly light reporter

Parab: Hold Microphone on the sidelines to collect background audio.

This position requests that you be able to Over/Under consistently in a high-tempo environment throughout the show, but not necessary. Ask regarding this.
Assisting in tear down of compound post-game.
May be involved in setup.
