The Health Education Design Group is a grant funded organization that produces training programs for various state and federal organizations. We are currently looking for a Boom Operator for a short film we are producing to be used in one of these trainings. You'll work with our in house sound mixer to capture the best audio possible. Right now the shoot is scheduled for 23-24 Feb. Looking for someone who can self report to Harrisonburg, VA but housing will be provided. This is a low budget project, we can offer $300/12 for per day, plus a travel bump to help cover gas. I understand this is a low rate, so students and people with little experience (but willingness/eagerness to learn sound) are encouraged to apply. The crew has been working together for years and works on many higher budget projects as well, and we are constantly looking for boom ops.

Our short film, 'CROWN' is seeking a location sound crew member. We are hiring one sound person, so we'll need a boom op/ mixer in one (we're a low budget short as your can tell). PLEASE attach links to sample work as our short film is sponsored by Stella Artois and we'll need the best crew possible for the rate we have. We'll be shooting February 25th and 26th (12 hour days), we hope to make this an easy, smooth shoot. No stunts, no crazy sound situations. Our film is a mellow drama about an artist who navigates identity and career.

Experience with shorts is a huge plus; respectful, team player, and motivated attitude is important to us as everyone on the project thus far has done a great job creating a safe and positive set environment. We are looking for a competent Sound Engineer to join our team. As a Sound Engineer, you will be responsible for assembling, operating and maintaining the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound for our television show.

This role requires experience in unscripted and reality television. You will be required to capture audio for interviews, crowd conversations, and loud car engine sounds. This position will require a high level of autonomy, but also requires strong communication with the larger team.

Physical production begins in early March 2023. This role is located in Greenville, South Carolina.

Must be able to work as a local.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire production
• Performs the Load-in & Out of equipment. Set Up and Break down of Equipment
• Cabling and patching / working together with the entire crew as a team
• Audio adjustments, maintaining safe audio levels. While providing a professional mix
• Responsible for Protecting/Maintenance and repair of Audio equipment
• Ensure proper care and handling of all rental audio equipment
• Interact with production crews to ensure a successful show
• Mic up to 4 people per day. Operate boom when needed
• Communicate with field producer when audio needs attention
• Distribute or create audio plans to the production team
• Punctual attendance for shifts

Qualifications:

• Broadcast production experience
• Experience in pro audio systems
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Looking for a Boom Op for a second season 10 episode scripted series filming in 2023. Approximate shooting dates April 24-July 19. Must have experience in the narrative space.

Jupiter Entertainment seeks an experienced Sound Mixer as local as possible to Tallahassee, FL to join us on Killer Couples on 2/11. Our field producer will be joining you in the field, and we will be shipping a full gear kit to the location (a complete list of the equipment we will be sending will be provided to you upon hire/request).

Shoot will consist primarily of sit-down, one-on-one interviews being filmed indoors, as well as broll.

Looking for a Sound recordist for a live event taking place in Seattle on February 21, 2023 from 12-2pm. We will be filming a speaking panel on Sony cameras. Pay is $350/6 hours.
