We are a PCR lab processing COVID-19 tests for the entertainment industry. We have a fully operational lab on-lot, at a major studio in Culver City. We service the greater Los Angeles area working on-lot and on-location.

We are currently expanding our Intake Department. We are hiring for the role of Intake Assistant, who is responsible for checking in "Patients." These Patients are scheduled to take their mandated COVID-test, required by shows or productions. We work with many clients, some within the film, television, and commercial/entertainment industry. Our lab is known for getting results in record-speed and we are looking for the ideal candidate to grow with us.

General shift is 5:00am-2:30pm, sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

- Executing day to day operations of intake check in
- Overseeing, operating, and updating shared excel sheet with team in real time
- General professionalism with clients and line control
- Diligently delivering samples to lab in concise and effective manner
- General sanitation (wiping tables down, equipment down, etc)
- Moderate lifting (30lb bins, etc)
- A good attitude and a generally calm demeanor

PREFERRED:
On-Set Experience - someone with a PA background (or the like) works very well in this position.

MUST HAVES:
Reliable Transportation - we work both on-lot and on-location.
Exposure to Excel
Someone who is Tech-Savvy

Supervising and scheduling production personnel is critical. A proven technical background in post-production is key!
Must have a thorough knowledge of editing, audio mixing, *** file formats, animated graphics, and miscellaneous equipment used in typical day-to-day post-production. Understanding of file-based post-production workflows is required.

Summary

The Project Mechanical Engineer II is assigned to project teams to provide technical direction and engineering vendor management on upgrades to existing attractions. Duties include technical leadership and subject matter expertise in a variety of Ride and Show system disciplines, auditing of third party design and engineering, execution of on- and off-site acceptance test procedures, and ownership of project documentation compliance.

The Project Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for ensuring all project work conforms with ASTM F24 Committee guidelines and compliant with applicable codes, regulations and standards including: AISC, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, JIC, NEC, and OSHA, among others. They may also provide guidance and oversight on these standards for the other Ride and Show Programs (RSP) team members.

This role has exposure to multiple different ride and show systems spanning multiple decades, each with its unique fun and challenges.

This role has a 5-day workweek, with a minimum of 4 days onsite. The role may include night and/or weekend work only when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for technical completion of mechanical / structural modifications to complex ride and show systems to improve safety, reliability, operational readiness, diagnostics, and serviceability.

What You Will Do

Support the project team for the design and implementation of assigned projects.
Develop varied Environmental Graphic and Sign Design solutions for project work at all stages from concept design through the preparation of construction documentation.

Make daily decisions on a scope of work with guidance from the Lead Graphic Designer.
Communicate and coordinate with others in the department and as part of a larger, multidiscipline project team.
Could act as Graphic Design Representative at project team meetings.

Coordinate and communicate Graphic Design issues within the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of experience in Environmental Graphic design practice.
Knowledge of Sign Code requirements for facilities and Theme Park applications.
Demonstrated thoughtful design and artistic skills in solving architectural graphic design challenges.
Experience in Creative Suite 6 or digital illustration tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Publisher, In Design, Sketch-up and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of Architectural Graphic Design and sign construction techniques.
Knowledge of programming Architectural Signage for different applications (cruise ships, hotels, restaurants, retail, museums, parking facilities, etc.).
Knowledge of Wayfinding systems and programming.
Knowledge of all phases of a sign design program.
Preferred knowledge in related areas: Architecture, Interior Design, and Area Development.
