Dorsey Pictures seeks a camera operator to help with remote shooting on a true crime Oxygen project filming in Albuquerque, NM. Must be local, and able to fit our gear package of (5) pelican cases into your vehicle.
Filming will include sit down interviews and B-roll. This position will work remotely with the DP and the field producer on the days of shooting. We will be shipping a gear package to you for the production: (5) pelican cases with cameras, lighting, sound and grip equipment. We are looking for someone with reliable transportation in which the equipment can fit.
Experience with Sony FX9/FS7 & experience with remote shooting is preferred.
There is a possibility that this position would need to be able to drive to Lubbock, TX to capture B-Roll.
COVID protocols will be in place for the production and safety supplies will be provided.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Receiving shipment of remote camera/lighting package from production company
• Building camera and lighting and setting up laptop on set for DP and field producer to remote into
• Mic-ing participants and adjusting audio levels
• Adhering to all COVID protocols, including taking and logging temperatures of participants, sanitizing set and equipment between interviews, and sanitizing camera/lighting package after the shoot
• Operating camera for B-roll as needed
• Offloading media to hard drives at the end of the shoot day
• Shipping hard drives and camera/lighting package back to production company
Shooting will take place on Thursday, March 11th and Friday, March 12th.
