The Creative Services team, part of a large Communications and Marketing Department at NYU Langone Health, seeks a Media Production Manager to oversee production of live and video-on-demand lecture capture during events in and around the medical campus, as well as Photography.
Under the guidance of the managers of the studio, the Media Production Manager will ensure continued operation of the robust and highly in-demand services provided by the Digital Media Center, while maintaining visual and brand standards.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Livestream and Video Production for all event and lecture capture needs of the NYU Langone Health community – including the NYU School of Medicine, Perlmutter Cancer Center, and ambulatory locations (previous experience with live-streams is not required. We will train you.)
• Event photography, environmental portraits of staff and faculty
• Organize and maintain equipment for all shoots
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure proper staffing for all shoots
• Train and direct freelance production staff as needed
• Stay up to date on current trends in digital video production
• Collaborate with the in-house editor on projects to ensure smooth workflow and fast turnaround
• Editing as needed for both photo and video assets
• Perform general office responsibilities (answering phones, organizing equipment for shoots, etc.)
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience working in production, a studio, or field work
• Proficiency with Digital Video equipment (Cameras, Audio Recorders, Tripods, Lights, etc)
• Knowledge of video codecs, frame rates, trans-coding and basic technical specifications for video
• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products
• Professional appearance; upbeat and positive attitude

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot within a team of creative personalities
• Must have experience working in film/video production

• This is a full time, on-site position in New York, NY
