Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is seeking a freelance camera operator for a conference in early December. This freelance opportunity is for an individual currently working in digital video production as a camera operator, filmmaker or with significant experience in the field.
Required Services:
-Operate camera during livestream broadcast of select conference sessions
-Operate camera and record conference sessions for later broadcast
-Capture video b-roll footage of conference atmosphere and activities around the Center
-Set up and test cameras, tripods, microphones, stage lighting, and other audio/video equipment
-Assist with final pre-production and initial post-production for conference
-Other related services as needed
Service Details:
This freelance opportunity is a minimum of four days, but no more than five days, starting on December 2nd and ending on December 6th, 2019. Some days will be as long as 10 hours or more, but no more than 12 hours. Lunches will be provided and breaks will be worked out as the production schedule allows. Cameras and other video equipment will be provided. Audio will be coordinated with a separate contracted AV crew.
Professional Service Fee:
Service fees will be a flat daily rate of $500, paid in a single check upon completion of services. Freelance contractor must sign a service agreement and provide a completed Form W-9 and will receive a Form 1099 from SBC. SBC will not withhold any amounts for payment of taxes and the freelance contractor will be responsible for reporting and paying all taxes related to the professional service fee. Camera Operators are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
