Job Summary: The Casting Director role within *** Live Entertainment provides client ser *** in auditions, evaluations, identification, contracting, scheduling, and tracking talent while also communicating with theatrical agents/producers, operational partners, and talent to provide excellent Cast and Guest satisfaction and client service. The team's scope includes identifying various roles including musical theater performers, singers, dancers, actors, and stunt performers. You will also focus on Character performers, including sculpted role performers, look-alike roles, puppeteers, and show performers.
Responsibilities/You Will- Run auditions, establish pre-cast lists, and provide clear recommendations to creative teams regarding talent selection while balancing operational needs
- Research talent options for a variety of special events, and present appropriate options to the creative team
- Communicate with talent and work teams through phone work and email, and create/maintain/present ongoing reporting data related to metrics
- Monitor industry trends locally, nationally, and internationally to provide/maintain entertainment standards. The Casting Director is an essential strategic champion for work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and must be emphatically supportive of our Inclusion key
- Work with multiple computer programs
- You will work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- This role will require both international and domestic travel roughly 20% of the year
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have- 3+ years experience in the Casting of professional talent
- Experience networking and partnering to complete an objective
- Experience with written and verbal communication skills to all levels of partner/client
- Knowledge of performing talent and technical skills in multiple musical genres
- Experience in music theatre talent and technical skills
- Experience managing deliverables while meeting deadlines
- Experience negotiating, i *** uencing, and decision-making
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically 20% of the year
- Valid Passport
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Theme Park and/or Cruise Line entertainment
- Experience with, and understanding of multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements including the American Federation of Musicians, Actors' Equity Association, American Guild of Variety Artists, and others
Required Education- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education- Advanced degree in Art, Entertainment, Music, Musical Theatre, or equivalent
The hiring range for this position in New York is $73,266 to $98,230 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
