Seeking a Casting AP for a returning WarnerMedia comedy series. Casting will start the week of 11/1 and run into January 2022. We are LA-based but are looking for someone based in the NY tri-state area who can work with one of our east coast producers.

This is a longer gig with a good-sized team, but the pace will be quick due to an aggressive production schedule (aka, we have to find and pitch people quickly so they can start shooting as early as January 2022). It's a wildly fun show with a friendly competition element, so we need someone who can find and pitch the show to people on a variety of platforms including Instagram, TikTok and FB. The network wants to see a lot of options, so this role will be to get people with super fun personalities scheduled for interviews and to support the casting producers in whatever they need. Beyond social media outreach, other responsibilities include vetting/pre-interviewing applicants by phone, organizing requested media and writing bio summaries (we prefer short and sweet!).

Candidates should have enthusiastic and personable phone skills as well as experience with Google Workspace applications, Slack and Dropbox. Extra points if you have social media savvy, superb writing skills and/or basic editing skills (trimming a 40-min interview down to 15-20 mins).

- This position will start at some point this week (week of Oct 25).
- Project will last 11-12 weeks (mid-late January 2022) with 2 weeks dark for the December holidays.
- Rate is 1200/week.
- Should be ok with being paid as an independent contractor.

NewsNation is looking for hardworking, creative, and proactive booking producers for a new weekend dayside program. As a booking producer, you will work with show producers to arrange guest appearances on the program to discuss the news of the day and or breaking news. You must have excellent organizational skills, be an effective communicator, be detail-oriented, and work well under deadline pressure. The position is based at the network's NYC Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pitch stories daily

• Identify top tier guests, cultivate relationships, and arrange guest appearances on the show

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Booking Producer to join Outnumbered . The Booking Producer is responsible for booking guests, making pitches, and handling newsmaker requests. It further requires strong feature and segment production and a strategic vision for bookings. This individual is the show's booking representative and is responsible for continuously upgrading bookings for live daily interviews in addition to special projects. The Booking Producer is also responsible for researching and pitching unique new guests, and compelling segments daily, and for future planning. This person must be familiar with all aspects of television production including graphics, editing, digital newsgathering, and live remote broadcasting, and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

The Booking Producer must also be able to react quickly in breaking news situations and line up officials, lawmakers, outside reporters, and principals while we are live, as well as when news breaks during the day. The Booking Producer should also have a strong grasp of using social *** to find people involved in breaking news situations in remote areas. This person must also be able to develop, cultivate, and maintain new guest relationships on behalf of the program and the network.

This position may require travel for breaking news bookings.

Book top-tier guests for the show on a daily basis

**** YOU **** NEED

5+ years of newsroom experience in television, including booking and producing experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
An extensive rolodex and the know-how to book everyone from high-profile guests, celebrities, and people at the center of major news stories
Knowledge of and passion for current events, politics, and issues in global affairs
Strong editorial judgment and newsgathering skills
Strong organizational skills and writing skills
Exceptional editorial skills; the ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
Ability to be forward thinking and know which guests to book for future big news days
Ability to properly vet guests to determine energy level and knowledge of the subject matter
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where changes happen minute to minute, hour by hour
Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings
Ability to keep show team up to speed with current/breaking news during after-hours
Excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work overnight and on weekends when breaking news merits
