Job Summary: Nightline has an opening for an Editorial Booking Producer. We are looking for someone who is an ideas person and eager to break the mold in the new streaming world.
Responsibilities: The main role of the Editorial Booking Producer is to develop ideas and work with talent and show producers to properly cast the story at hand.
Basic Qualifications: - Excellent contacts, organizational and communication skills and work well under deadline pressure.
- Identify top tier guests, use existing contacts while cultivating new relationships
- Pitch stories
- Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on range of topics
- Extensive list of contacts, proven track record of finding and booking high-profile guests, as well as people at the center of major news stories
- Flexibility with hours, as breaking news or major events warrant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in television
- Strong editorial judgement
- Knowledge of and passion for current events, pop culture and politics.
- Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings
- Experience with Lexis Nexis, iNews
Required Education - Bachelor's degree (TV/Film/Journalism or related field) or equivalent work experience
This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
