RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description

The Casting Coordinator will report to the EVP, Casting and will support talent aspects of *** , *** , E!, Bravo, Oxygen, Syfy, USA, Universal Kids & Syndication *** .

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage heavy phones, calendars, and contact management
Manage individual and team expenses and coordinate travelwith our internal travel consultants
Meticulously track the status of talent and production for all projects
Responsible for general office management (ordering & restocking supplies, conference room bookings & logistics, knowledge of company policies & procedures, etc.)
Liase with internal departments and *** as well as external studio partners and agencies/management companies
Oversee the hiring and day-to-day supervision of our Academic Year Interns

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
2+ years of industry experience
Professional phone etiquette, top-tier organization, multitasking, and communication skills
Working knowledge of SharePoint/OneDrive, Keynote, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Experience supporting high-level executives
Willing and able to attend casting and talent related events after hours and/or on weekends

*** Universal's E! News is seeking a Los Angeles-based Talent Booker. This role will be responsible for supporting E! News' relationship with celebrity publicists and managers, brands and publishers across E!'s top-rated network of celebrity content. This position will work closely with celebrity representatives to build strong relationships, book in-studio talent and extend the E! brand across multiple platforms, with a focus on news and breaking news.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with talent representatives, magazine and book publishers, podcast networks and brands.
Pitch and book talent for celebrity appearances and interviews across multiple E! shows and platforms.
Handle outreach to talent representatives for breaking news and non-breaking news stories.
Ideate and pitch unique celebrity content opportunities for E! coverage, especially as they relate to news-related stories.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Booking Producer for Varney & Co. The Booking Producer is responsible for booking guests, making pitches, and handling newsmaker requests. It further requires strong feature and segment production and a strategic vision for bookings. This individual is the show's booking representative and is responsible for continuously upgrading bookings for live daily interviews in addition to special projects. The Booking Producer is also responsible for researching and pitching unique new guests, and compelling segments daily, and for future planning. This person must be familiar with all aspects of television production including graphics, editing, digital newsgathering, and live remote broadcasting, and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

The Booking Producer must also be able to react quickly in breaking news situations and line up officials, lawmakers, outside reporters, and principals while we are live, as well as when news breaks during the day. The Booking Producer should also have a strong grasp of using social *** to find people involved in breaking news situations in remote areas. This person must also be able to develop, cultivate, and maintain new guest relationships on behalf of the program and the network.

This position may require travel for breaking news bookings.

5+ years of newsroom experience in television, including booking and producing experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
An extensive rolodex and the know-how to book everyone from high-profile guests, celebrities, and people at the center of major news stories
Knowledge of and passion for current events, politics, and issues in global affairs
Strong editorial judgment and newsgathering skills
Strong organizational skills and writing skills
Exceptional editorial skills; the ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
Ability to be forward thinking and know which guests to book for future big news days
Ability to properly vet guests to determine energy level and knowledge of the subject matter
