Job Description

The Casting Coordinator will report to the EVP, Casting and will support talent aspects of *** , *** , E!, Bravo, Oxygen, Syfy, USA, Universal Kids & Syndication *** .

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage heavy phones, calendars, and contact management
Manage individual and team expenses and coordinate travelwith our internal travel consultants
Meticulously track the status of talent and production for all projects
Responsible for general office management (ordering & restocking supplies, conference room bookings & logistics, knowledge of company policies & procedures, etc.)
Liase with internal departments and *** as well as external studio partners and agencies/management companies
Oversee the hiring and day-to-day supervision of our Academic Year Interns
Support talent efforts for the *** U Entertainment Group

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
2+ years of industry experience
Professional phone etiquette, top-tier organization, multitasking, and communication skills
Working knowledge of SharePoint/OneDrive, Keynote, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Experience supporting high-level executives
Willing and able to attend casting and talent related events after hours and/or on weekends

Desired Characteristics

Job Description

Entertainment Content is seeking a Casting Assistant to help support a late night production. This role is a temporary staff position with an end date. The expected duration of this position is 6 months.

Responsibilities:

Work with writers to research and coordinate talent for Human Interest segments.
Actively seek out and recruit Human Interest talent.
Prepare and archive contracts and paperwork accordingly.
Arrange travel and communicate with production services teams to ensure all paperwork is valid for Human Interest guests.
Assist casting department with wrangling talent and coordinating catering.
Coordinate with all depts for talent hair, make-up and wardrobe scheduling.
Assist production team with scripted studio and remote segments.
Miscellaneous research, organization and clerical duties.
Distributing and tracking appearance releases.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of production-related experience. Previous set experience preferred but not required.
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and the Slack platform.
Must have ability to work flexible hours including late nights, early mornings and occasional weekends due to production schedules and topical news cycles.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Book guests under the intense deadline pressure of a daily live show
Track down difficult-to-find people using various resources, including social *** platforms, LexisNexus, Accurint, etc.
Conduct in-depth research, pre-interviews, and write questions
Pitch unique stories and guests

**** YOU **** NEED

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study required, or equivalent experience
1-3 years of prior television (or similar) experience
Strong understanding of news, politics and current events
Knowledge of key i *** uencers, thought leaders, and commentators
Demonstrated ability in forging and upholding positive contacts with guests including public figures and newsmakers and the ability to maintain those relationships when bookings are canceled or rescheduled
