The ideal candidate will:

• Have an undergraduate degree in mass communications, journalism or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

• Have experience publishing content online, especially with WordPress

The News Producer produces daily newscast items, decides the order in which stories will be told, writes teases and other content, times news programs, edits video, and posts video to the website.

Job Description

The Associate Producer is responsible for the successful creation, coordination and execution of a show or segment for TV or Digital Platforms. The role of the AP is to prepare the editorial content for the broadcast both for linear and non-linear platforms, also to assist with the management of different aspects of the production and coordinate with internal support areas. Associate Producers are expected to serve as live graphics producer. Also, produce short form content and segments, including but not limited to soccer tactical analysis using various software and production tools to that end. The associate producer will report to the Director of Production.

Job Duties:

• Meet with Producer and Area Managers to review production schedule, as well as editorial content for upcoming shows.
• Coordinate specific production and staffing needs for broadcasts, including editing and control room areas, technical production, and art departments.
• Verify that all in-show production elements are ready for air, with special attention to sponsored elements. Review traffic instructions leading up to the broadcast.
• Prepare original editorial content for the linear show and digital extensions both locally and on the field, including but not limited soccer tactical analysis, selecting, translating, and transcribing sound bites and footage for a piece. Prepare research for stories or segments as needed.
• Write and supervise scripts, and the editing of a story.
• Meet with show director and technical crew to go over show details. Meet with show staff to verify production assignments. Prepare and fact-check all show graphics and segments.
• Field Produce stories and remote productions; assist with live shots as needed.
• Attain a complete knowledge of all show elements; how they work and how they are applied within the various shows.
• Provide story ideas and offer suggestions to improve broadcasts and non-linear coverage on a regular basis. Research stories and produce sweeps series as needed.
• Prepare scripts and materials for cross-promotional purposes and for use by digital *** department and network affiliates.
• Produce sports briefs, halftime reports, other sports segments for quality control and content across broadcast and digital platforms.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• A solid knowledge of sports content with an emphasis on Mexican, English Premier League and International soccer, US domestic sports and boxing for US Hispanic market.
• General computer skills: INEWS, MS Office (Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel), Avid Interplay, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
• Solid editing, writing and production skills.
• Knowledge of soccer tactical analysis tool VIZRT Libero Vision, Piero and or similar.
• Three years Control Room (live & taped programs) experience required with an emphasis in graphics, content creation and segments producing.
• Three years' experience working in broadcast television.
• Proficiency in Social *** use and content generation for Social channels.
• A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film from an accredited university or collage.

**** YOU'LL DO:

• Receive assignment or evaluate news leads and news tips to develop story ideas.
• Gather and verify factual information regarding stories through interview, observation, and research.
• Organize material, determine slant or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
• Shoot video and still photos to illustrate stories.
• Edit, or assists in editing, videos for all multi *** platforms.
• Appear on television program when conducting taped interview or narration
• Give live reports from site of event or mobile broadcast unit.
• Work cooperatively with photographer assigned to story, if one is assigned.
• Assist news producer in preparing newscast.
• Assist online staff in preparing for multi *** stories.

**** YOU'LL NEED:

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

• Computer literacy required, including newsroom computer systems
• Videography and non-linear editing experience preferred
• Knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment
• Edit video on Final Cut Pro editing systems, or similar equipment
• Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills
• Proficient at posting content to various websites
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or relevant professional experience
- Demonstrable experience in scripted/non-scripted content development with a focus on storytelling for the medium
- Demonstrable experience of commissioning, producing/showrunning, and ability to apply this in the audio-entertainment space
- Proven development, writing and script-editing skills, knowing how to approach this with an audio-first lens

ABOUT THE ROLE
Audible is looking for an Executive Producer, Originals, APAC to oversee the development and creation of APAC original content. We are looking for an experienced, editorially proven, executive producer to support a portfolio of original scripted and unscripted projects across the region from ideation to release. The Executive Producer, Originals, APAC, will have oversight of new commissions, working with best-in-class creatives to create dynamic listening experiences for Audible audiences across the region.

This role will report to the Director, Audible *** APAC and will work with a range of internal and external teams in Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, and at times, teams in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, to identify and create distinctive content for Audible. The role will be based in Australia.

ABOUT YOU
You are on the pulse of the cultural zeitgeist and bring strong instincts for content development that will resonate with today's consumers. You will have a love for great audio and storytelling, and understand how to shape the creative content process to ensure that it conveys a rich narrative, draws in and engages an audience and drives commercial goals. You are likely to have extensive experience as a Producer or Executive Producer, ideally specializing in audio production, and ideally will have launched and managed one or more high profile series (podcast, radio, television) in scripted and or non-fiction series with multicast, previously. You will have editorial vision, creative flair, extensive production experience, a desire to raise standard at all times and a track record of success and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

You will have the right combination of distinctive creative judgement, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional understanding of both the scripted and unscripted genres. You will set creative ambitions high, pursuing quality and excellence in each title. You are likely to have existing relationships with creators in the entertainment space and have solid experience of identifying I.P. and talent in-line with strategic goals. Your knowledge and expertise enables you to provide sound guidance to creative partners and the content program.

As the Executive Producer, Originals APAC you will...
- Work with the Director, Audible *** APAC and contribute to the identification and assessment of Original content opportunities against strategic goals.
- Work as an Executive Producer across 'non-book' Audible Original formats and genres, supporting all creative aspects involved in the creation of a title including reviewing submissions, providing script editing suggestions, providing recommendations on talent selection, conducting post production audio reviews and other development support as required for both in-house and 3rd party projects
- Provide guidance and recommendations to internal and 3rd party production teams, based on audio/entertainment industry success factors and trends. Support internal and external vendors towards the elevation of our spectrum & belonging initiatives in our original content offering
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in support of localisation efforts
- Support the creative class across the region to develop new I.P. and help build an extensive development pipeline and forward-looking slate of original programming that is distinctive to Audible
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with established agents, producers, writers and production partners. Work with the Director, Audible *** APAC, in constantly improving the attractiveness of Audible as the content provider for the creative class. Identify up-and-coming creators suitable for Audible
- Collaborate with Brand & Content marketing, providing creative input and support to optimise title launch
- Provide ad-hoc creative support as required
